Could it be that the managers want to polish the work themselves? If you gave them it but said can you look at the wording positioning etc that could stop some of the ideas above your stations problems they seem to have of you.
I like the idea of your whiteboard and have it as a to do list, I think it is a good visual for what you are up to and also a good way of saying to managers who give you the work where will this be put in? More of a priority than X or Y?0 -

so i should do the filing and miss the deadlines? loose the company money in favour of a clean tray. i dont get white boards and calendars to pay attention to detail - i got them to show my bosses how my workload is. they dont communicate, the keep adding jobs to my pile without any regard or communication with one and other. i have had to show them, visualy, how busy i am. not because i have the need to admin and be perfect - its like a defense wall against more backlash for jobs undone and to get them to understand - why, and how, i am drowning. the list i gave with regard to graphic design is a duty and responsibility thing- the list of actual tasks is on my board, i cant even remember myself all of them.
As I say, if I am way off beam, apologies and just ignore what I have just said.
i dont know. i respect my betters and am eager to learn from better people. this just confused me. sorry d. can you clarify?
No - you are not getting the point about time management.
You don't do the filing and miss the deadlines, you work to deadlines and if the filing isn't important, the filing gets done last. Or it gets allocated time. If jobs keep getting added, then you need to tell them that in order to do it - something else has to shift down the pile. If you have 2 bosses, then the higher boss needs to direct the tasks through the less higher boss so that they can take the decision about which one tops the others.
I'd get a list of my weekly tasks with time they all take; onto post its. then sit with immediate boss and allocate which Quadrant they fit into and order them in priority. If your time adds up to more than the hours you do, with no time for planning additional extras in - then something has got to give. Make sure that is a task and not you.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -

no luv. i have 4 bosses. i am sorry before i start about the minimum i might say that might turn me over. you are all going off on a tangent about how things need to be done and how management conduct themselves - picking faults in my behaviour but you need to accept that my behaviour is on 18000 a year and trying my best to manage a small, uninformed company about what happens in the 00's. there is no procedure - to them i am a glowing ray of light.
you are all expecting too much of my 18000 a year.
yes i have potential to learn, to administer principles that have worked but when does it get passed my current she wolve of a boss, never.
you can all make excuses and imagine what has happened here but i am in the reality, ill-advised, badly-advised - then found myself with ppl worth respecting.
pick at me if you like - the carcass that is left. (sorry if that was rude). i am neither stupid nor ignorant.
you were all young once. (and yes i have had 3 bacardi's now and am fed up with the picking at me)
yes today. i have had a bacardi. i am entitled. i am suspended.
Good grief.
I'm out.
This isn't the most successful time management model in history for nothing, and you aren't the only person to ever have more than one boss.
Sorry I bothered my ancient self.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -

Kelly, you are going to feel lousy in the morning. Go to bed! :A
DxI'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -

yes i feel lousy. sorry if i offended anyone. i have had a gut full of this whole situation. i do, even if it doesnt seem like it, appreciate you all trying to help and you have. alchohol and depression dont mix very well, i get that.
if you say this isnt the most successful time management model then i am sure your right. your suggestion is excellent. i wasnt aware that i was expected to be a high flyer in these areas. i was employed as an admin assistant.
i am not the only one to ever have more than one boss no thats fair enough however i am finding it difficult.
i have had no management training like you smart people i have been trying to get along and get things done as best i can. obviously i am not doing things well enough.
again i have blown up. perhaps i should have taken the medication the doctor offered or even the counciling. perhaps i should give up and be a stay at home mum. let someone who knows what they are doing do the job.0 -
Kelly...
I don't think this thread is helping you now given the way it has developed.
This is why I have stayed out of it since explaining your legal rights a few days ago.
Take Daisy's advice, go to the meeting, stay calm, see what they say then carefully consider your options.
A bunch of strangers on an internet forum can't run your life for you.
I hope it works out.0 -

some people you just cant change, especially if they are older, they feel threatened. One thing to keep you going (if she is the one thats 63) is she will be retiring in a couple of years.....
it sounds like you are doing a lot of extra work and not getting the credit and unfortunately thats the way of the world of work. one thing to be very clear on when you go into the meeting is; what do you want them to do about the situation thats reasonable? you cant get a junior, so dont ask, its doubtful you can ask them to change their working communications, so dont ask (they wont want to be criticised and may say its your attitude) so what can they do in your eyes to help? would a thank you be enough, would clearer instructions? would longer deadlines?
also i hate to say it but to me £18000 is a lot for an admin role so I would expect that you would have extra responsibilities.0
