in future - should she attacke me personally, any advice on how to handle that?
It depends what you mean by 'attack'. If she punches you, then yes, we will be able to advise you how to handle that. If she gives you management instructions in a manner that you find objectionable, the reality is you probably have two choices - put up with it, or find another job.kelly_borntoshop wrote: »just called work to see if everything was still ok for tomorrow. got my head bitten off by CD (who still sounds really angry). said i would be there and that i would be on my own. i am dreading it.
At least it is the Factory Manager who is conducting the meeting, so hopefully he will behave more impartially.
Good luck with the interview.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -

Is it possible that the OP could get dismissed during this meeting? i mean wouldnt it be better to just resign and avoid having a dismissal on your record?0

Help!

job interview went well i think, i hear tomorrow afternoon - what to do now??0 -
Did you comment that you were going to wipe the work?
What were your exact words to the CD?0 -
Assuming you really made that comment about wiping your work off the computer, once again, it shows your lack of knowledge as everything you do at work belongs to the company and not you (intellectual property), so making that silly comment (out of anger I imagined) has now been taken as a threat.
This thread has highlighted a number of instances when you have said things, in an unprofessional manner, than have happened to be wrong and where you assertive skills have shown to be totally misplaced. This is something you really need to work on, insuring you are 100% right if you are going to make claims to support your position at the time.
I really think if you want to stay there that your only defense is going to be one of apology and having learnt your lesson.0 -
the day i left work i spoke to a colleague and did say that i had a good mind to do it. we were both discussing how we werent happy. i was angry.0
-
i should say really - not that it makes a difference in this cirumstance, that the company is a small, tight, informal sort of affair. its not a place of politics or high flyers therefore conversations tend to be more honest than thought out and professional. just thought i'd say. i know it makes no difference.0

so i attend the grievance as i would have before this letter, what if they raise it during the hearing?0
-
Hi Kelly,
They are two separate processes - the grievance hearing should focus only on your points raised and allow you to state your side of events and what your desired outcome is.
Nothing should be said re: the disciplinary investigation. Each process as it were should be dealt with separately.
Hope that helps.*** Thank you for your consideration ***0
