Wow well done on the lard loss!! I agree about weighing in daily because an awful lot can happen between one week and the next and it's a long time!!
I've struggled with weight all my life but finally seem to have it under control by exercising and keeping track using the my fitness pal free app. Finally I am slim! It just took me around 50 yes to figure it out - lol!! So I have nailed smoking and weight, just need to get alcohol sorted...
Just had a cry at work which was v embarrassing but feeling better now
:Ton getting the lard under control MrsDee.
It's a great feeling. I'd been slim all my adult life but for a 10 year period I gradually gained. There were lots of reasons but increasing alcohol consumption was certainly a major factor. I started off with getting the alcohol under control, then focused on my weight (now need to tackle smoking).
41 was right about the weepiness. Going AF is like a bereavement or a separation because it's like missing a huge part of your life. I found the weightloss much easier to handle than the AFness as drinking is socially acceptable but being fat is not.0 -
Thanks maman, I really appreciate it.
Seriously if you want to give up smoking I honestly recommend hypnotherapy. I was hugely sceptical but for me it was like someone just flicking a switch - I came out of the room and never even thought about smoking again., after I'd tried just about everything else I could to give up and failed each time I couldnt face a cigarette now. It was the easiest thing. It cost £250 but that was recouped in no time at all. I've been smoke free for 9 years now and used to smoke 20-40 cigarettes a day. I believe it's the biggest gift you can give to yourself (and your family) If you are in my area let me know and I'll heppily send you details of the lady I went to see. I have sent various friends to see her over the years and they are all still smoke free!!
I wonder if she can do the same with the drink, I'm now thinking???Sick and tired of waking up sick and tired...

AF - 11/26SNC - 4/5. Declaring tonight because I am sure now that I will not be tempted
Today I have made a list of the months how many days are in them and how many days I will be AF.
Still I have 94 days on there that I will/may have a drink. This includes 1 night each weekend and 2 weeks holidays and a few extra over Christmas.
While I was doing this, it came to me, that if I feel the need to do this sort of thing it must be a problem. Surely normal drinkers don't do this.
Anyway if this is what I need to do then I will go with it, definitely want to cut down on the 94 days though, the thought is making me feel sick. But at the moment I can't say I will never drink again.
Off to Zumba tonight, if I can get there in this snow.
Have a good evening everyone

13/24 AF with 44 total
Does any have any advice about my situation. I paid for a new boiler and fitting, on the basis that it would be fitted when my v.small terrace house was due to be sold. It's at the final stages, and the plumber isn't answering my calls. I've put in a complaint to Trading Standards, and resorted to tweeting him, even the Estate Agent is chasing him. I need the money from the sale of the house to clear debts. I've no idea what to do to solve this. Should I involve the police, as it amounts to theft?
If I hadn't given up drinking I'd be guzzling wine. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
13/27 for me and 2 SNCs, 44 in total for 2013.0
