6 AFDs for me please Shaggy.

I'm not sure about tomorrow. Not planned anything special for Valentines but DH and I may share a bottle of bubbly just to show willing.

AF - 11/26SNC - 4/5. Declaring tonight because I am sure now that I will not be tempted

Today I have made a list of the months how many days are in them and how many days I will be AF.

Still I have 94 days on there that I will/may have a drink. This includes 1 night each weekend and 2 weeks holidays and a few extra over Christmas.

While I was doing this, it came to me, that if I feel the need to do this sort of thing it must be a problem. Surely normal drinkers don't do this.

Anyway if this is what I need to do then I will go with it, definitely want to cut down on the 94 days though, the thought is making me feel sick. But at the moment I can't say I will never drink again.

Off to Zumba tonight, if I can get there in this snow.

    Have a good evening everyone
    Julie

Normal drinkers don't think they are drinking too much nor do they worry about their drinking.
I have a normal relationship with many things, but alcohol is not one of those. My drinking wasn't quite normal from the start.

As I was told by someone "If you need to control it, then it's out of control"

Morning all. That's 3/10 AF for me please Shaggy and I have completed my SNC commitment of 3/3.
Woke up this morning feeling like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders and my terrible headache has gone.
Slept deeply for over 10 hours as well - wow. I'm liking this feeling of being well rested. Had planned to drink this evening but may not.
    Have a good day everyone!

Ouch this hit home...this is me :(

Not been around much over the last few weeks life has just got out of hand, and so has my drinking again. I am going to look at 'real' life support groups near me as I think that is what I really need and I just need to stop not cut down. Well I can't cut down, it's all or nothing with me I have come to the conclusion.

Shaggy I am on 3 AFD for Feb please.
  • Just typed a long post and lost it lol.
13 AF days and 3 SNC.
Gave a 70 year old man a lift to the pub last night and told him about the tranquilising effect of alcohol and that I'd given up. No response but I think he was shocked. He drinks whisky and we often compare drunken antics.
Happy Valentines Day everyone man or woman I'm not fussy lol.
