That's exactly how I'm feeling and a look at our recycling tells me why.:o
When I was drinking I was mortified when a neighbour said to me that she must of missed the party. I looked confused and she said that I must of had a party with the amount of empties in my 'black box'
After that I would take some bottles to the dump separately. Or put some in the normal bin so the black box looked more respectable.
Absolutely Crazy.

No discussions about trying not to drink too much on a night out, no feeling disgusted at having had a drink again, no more me being controlled by alcohol. I now control me.
So 31 days please. And then the rest of the year.
Well done you. The reality of a sober life is far better than a drunken one.
It's the fear of a sober life that keeps people in their drunken one.

AF #2 today.0 -
Hi everyone,
Usual story of December getting out of hand and thought I'd rein it in now before the old habit kicks back in.
To be fair this December's consumption is far far less than previous years and I have been sensible with rationing, but i'm concerned i could slip back. The second week in December I was drinking half the week and by the xmas week and ny, i think it was nearly most days.
So its back to my rules of no drinking on a school night and limiting it to fri or sat.
However I am thinking of having a dry January. Unsure if I can manage it. But i'm going to try. I've drunk moderately but I have felt sluggish and not on the ball as i'm not used to drinking every day anymore. My body is telling me to detox and write off the xmas period.
So i'm 2 AF's for January!!
Gonna have a read back and catch up its been a while. Hope everyone is ok.
Finally Happy 2014!!Live for the moment and plan for the future0 -

Well done Fruball, excellent going! Good luck for a non-sweaty non-dreaming night :rotfl:
In all seriousness, I do sympathise, I'm still doing both....

I have struggled the last hour. Knowing I only have an hour until the local shop shuts is not helping.
If I get wine tonight, I will feel terrible tomorrow and be delaying the inevitable
If only dinner was cooked (took far longer than I thought) then I would just go to bed.
...and to think I have been really positive all day!0 -
Far be it from me to give advice but take 365's advice, day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute it necessary.
I can't talk either as I've not updated my figures for the month yet cos it feels too premature in the evening....I won't drink but I don't like tempting fate iykwim?
I remember back years ago when I had drink counselling (numerous occasions, that obviously didn't work...) they talk about HALT, H standing for hungry, it's a killer when you want to drink. Can't remember what the others stood for, loneliness and tiredness maybe?
Hold on tight and get through with me, I'm off to bed after Benidorm anywaysDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
