'The direction you are travelling in is far more important than the time it takes to get there'

Saw this on FB and it just seemed so fitting for here. It's from this website which, whilst having nothing to do with alcohol, has been very useful for me.

Thank you for this, I am often far too wrapped up in the "time it takes me to get there".

Far from an AFD for me today. :o

Well done for posting even though you've had a drink. I remember posting a random one liner here at 3am once. It just said 'whoops' I was off my head on vodka and could hardly see straight enough to type.

As time goes on reading back over past posts helps!

1st AFD to start the month well. Gave DH the last glass of wine left over from yesterday's binge. Two bottles of wine drunk last night, of which DH only got 4 glasses: shameful.

Today I took an inventory of the contents of our freezer. I'm going to have to go from a good-sized chest freezer to a fridge/freezer, so I'll have to base our meal planning around what's on the inventory. 61 days and counting, and we're away for 8 days of December.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

Coming back to the thread - sorry for going AWOL!

Can I go target free for December please Shaggy? I just don't keep track properly and then give up counting.

Haven't been too bad recently but not AF.

    Hi Jo and welcome back!
    Trying to keep in budget.

Just wanted to say well done to everyone who managed AF days in November regardless how many :) The fact is we all managed AF days, some didn't hit target but tried, some did and some beat the target but the point is, we all tried and it does get easier, bit by bit. :D

Had a great AF evening meal out with friends but was sorely tempted to stop and get some wine on the way home (forgetting I had some already open in the fridge)... but stubbornly forced the car straight home and not via the shops. Got in, remembered the wine in the fridge... and it is still there, exactly as I left it yesterday :)

I am calling 1 AF day for December and I am off to bed feeling rather pleased with myself as I won the argument with the devil on my shoulder. I have also been cigarette free all day :)

Have a great December, everyone :A
