What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Still at work and going to be working late so calling in 18 AF for tonight!

Still pondering Decembers Target! Don't want to set myself up to fail but at the same time want to at least have a goal despite the holiday season! Have a wedding, country hotel stay, Boutique hotel stay, 7 days ski-ing plus various friend functions to add in. Hmmmm setting a lower target of 15 AF nights! Any extra a bonus!! :T

Hope that you are all well! Nice to see that lots of people are enjoying an evening walk!

Chorus line smiley day for me! 21/23 AFDs
  • 9AF out of a possible 16

That will probably be me now (maybe one more on Sunday) Out to dinner tomorrow then train home thurs, lunch on Friday then Saturday night chill  I will be having drinks no doubt but the big difference is going to be the amount, none of my plans are big nights out so I will be watching the units closely

Agree with Sukey that it is easier seemingly during the early part of the week. I don't usually have much on socially on those days so I guess its less tempting. I do seem to be cracking the need to drink on my own in the house which is a major one for me. If I can just enjoy a glass while Im out then come home without continuing all night that will be a massive difference to my intake.

10/20 AFDs, made it into double figures, hurrah.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

Some really fantastic posts again, esp from those who have beaten this. Thank you for coming on to help and inspire us :)

I very nearly failed tonight. I didn't get home until 7pm and being out and about after it gets dark is a difficult time for me to get past without stopping at the shop for wine.

BUT I didn't! I had the argument in my head and finally, I won :D

I've been there. There are a couple of really nice wine bars near me. In the summer, they look inviting with everyone sitting outside. In the winter they look inviting with all the lights twinkling and everyone having a good time. They used to make me feel really down when I passed. Then there's a third with old winos drinking from as early as 10 a.m. with bloated, pasty looking faces. I focussed on the latter and it helped!!

11/12 AFD's for me please Shaggy - why is it I find it so easy not to drink Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday and then really start to struggle by Thursday? I don't even think about having a drink in the early part of the week :o

Have a good day all :)

    That's called progress sukey!!:T
