I just wish I could overcome the urge to start drinking on a Thursday - although I did manage it last week :o

I can manage until Friday but I somehow can't get it out of my head that I drink at weekends 'because I can'. I like to have 4 AF days a week but this week is just two due to family celebrations. I was telling myself earlier I could have an AF weekend to make up for it. But I know I won't.

Definitely going to be AF today!!

Target reached tonight, 23/23 AFDs tonight
  • I can relate to thursday drinking..because well its nearly the weekend right? Before you know it you have drunk on thursday , friday, sat and well a nice bottle or two over dinner on a sunday. Monday well thats stressful day for a lot of people isnt it? its easy to slip into that slope, hopefully we can all help each other step away from that habit and mental thinking. Good luck all xx

Another 1 af for tonight shaggy

i need a clear head poor babys got bad croup and really unwell,(high temp, lost his voice and vomiting up flem) so im off for an early night because im taking the poo mite into bed with me because i feel safer with him right next to me so i can keep an eye on him. Fingers crossed for an improvement tommorrow as its normally the peak within 48 hours x

Unfortunately, I have not managed anymore AF days since I last posted. However, I have not been "drinking" (as in heavily), just had one each night. I plan on an alcohol free Friday tomorrow. :)

Rather disappointed it will be impossible to reach my target now. :(
    2018 totals:
    Savings £11,200
    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500

    Morning :hello:

    2 more AFDs.

I managed to fit in a couple of after work evening "urban walks" this week - I was amazed that a small number of folk in my hood have their xmas decorations up. That'll be me come Sunday :snow_grin (but not my tree - I'm getting a real one so that'll come later).

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

15 AFDsCan I try again please in December. I managed a month on the Go sober challenge, so have got my DH to give me a pound for every day I dont have any alcohol and will donate it to the Phillipines appeal. I told him its cheaper than paying for a bottle of wine every day!:o

Can I please join in? I have cut back on so much this year and managed to shed £8,000 of debt :j but I can't seem to get rid of the money-guzzling alcohol habit .
