14/18 for me.
Regarding my target for December, I think I will aim for a conservative 14.2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -
It's that time of year where you may be doing some online shopping.
If you are in the camp where you are thinking/considering giving up alcohol I can absolutely recomend this book.
No Big Deal - John Coats
I have read it so many times. First time I read it I was still drinking and while it kind of made sense, it didn't sink in. I now refer to it often. I've recomended it many times, so apologies if anyone's heard it all beforeHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. 11/12 AFD's for me please Shaggy - why is it I find it so easy not to drink Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday and then really start to struggle by Thursday? I don't even think about having a drink in the early part of the week
Have a good day all0 -

Still on 16 but wanted to share something. I know many of us on here are trying to moderate drinking, in addition to increasing our number of AFDs. Where I found difficulty in moderating was thinking what's the point of leaving something in the bottle? Especially if fizz, so would drink it all.
A few days ago I bought a bottle stopper (for fizz, will def get another good quality one for "normal" wine) which works absolutely brilliantly. Keeps the fizz perfect for a good 3 days so you don't have to drink it all in one go or even the next day. Can just have a glass and leave it at that!! £4.50 from J0hn £ewi5 - a really massive help in my bid to cut down (sparkling wine being my downfall.....).Sick and tired of waking up sick and tired...
Debt-free, now focussing on being mortgage-free
MORTGAGE : [STRIKE]Dec 2012 £133,602[/STRIKE]. Dec 2013 £114,092.47 July 2015 £856540 -
18 please, Shaggy, thanks
Agree with Sukey about easy not to drink until Thursday, that's when massive willpower and the rewards given by Shaggy on this thread help!!!
Thanks for the tip, Mrs Dee, will look out for that!0 -
Afternoon :hello:
1 more AFD.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
Is there any way you can add "2 days in a row" to my target please Shaggy so I can update each time I have managed it, or does that make things complicated for you?
I'm sure I can add that to your entry - just shout out how many in a row you've done:)What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again.
