I don't know whether I am an alcoholic but I certainly drink far too much every day. My husband is an alcoholic and doesn't want to stop drinking; I do, or at least drastically cut down.Proud to be dealing with my debts!

Good Afternoon everyone
Well I don't know whether I will manage these 2 AF days next week but I am feeling quite positive. I had three large glasses of wine yesterday evening (510 calories and 9 alcoholic units ) . That sounds bad I know but that was from 5.30pm to about 11.30 pm and previously I would have drunk more. Today (after church) we went to the club before lunch as usual and I had 1/2 pint of lager and a diet coke; I would normally have 2 pints of lager or two glasses of wine. At lunch I said "I don't really fancy any wine yet" DH said he didn't either so we drank tap water with our meal!
On the minus side we went to Sainsburys and bought loads of wine because it was 25% off (thanks Maman). I have a plan though; I'm going to suggest to DH that we each have our 'own' bottle so I can monitor how much (or little) I'm drinking.0 -

If it's cutting down you're after and you've drunk less than previously then that's good. I think it's important to have some AF days but it's not the only way of cutting back.
Funnily enough, I've done the 'own bottle' thing too. It does help.:)0 -
Well, had a weekend away with other half and some friends and alcohol was involved. After my 21 days of being alcohol free, when we had some champagne together a hangover had already started by the time we were on the second bottle!!!! By the time we went out to dinner I was drinking water!!! From this I deduce that I have grown a "Stop" button that i never previously have had!!
Next day was drinks out in a country pub and I did have some water and sat out of one alcoholic round but did have a few beers. Nothing to make me a nutter or get beer monstery about! Home now and back on track for sobriety!
Hope you've all had a good weekend!

Just stopping by for my yearly update!
4 Years sober today.
Alcohol does not cross my mind 99% of the time, but I know if I had one drink I'd be back where I started.
Hope everyone is having exactly the type of relationship with alcohol they want.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Had some white de-alcoholised wine made by Torres (Natureo) and it was actually very pleasant. Not v MSE as same price as wine though! Good for a nice dinner at weekend, not every day.
