Hi, I haven't been posting for a while now, since I last posted I have lost a stone in weight by excercising 3 x half hour sessions per week and eating natural foods. unfortunately I have been drinking again since I went on holiday.
IT'S TIME TO STOP.
For me it seems it has to be all or nothing. It starts off just a glass but soon descends into a whole bottle!
So if its not too late for August, I would like to declare the rest of August AF.

I have lost weight over the last year and am now at my target weight, but I am still drinking more than is good for me - weekends are my main downfall but the odd sneaky drink in the week seems to be increasing. I am hoping that joining this thread will help me keep it in check. I found my way on here through Maman & Macpep.
Can I set my target for August at 15 AFD - I have only had 1 AFD so far this month - not a very good start

I only joined a couple of days ago too.
I think your idea of cutting down gradually is a good one - I have set myself a target of 15 AFD for August and maybe that is expecting a bit too much but hey-ho I will run with it for now - I might even surprise myself :eek:
Like you, I am also going to try and have less on the days I do decide to drink - every little helps!
Monday & Tuesday are fairly easy days for me - Wednesday seems to be the day I normally struggle and end up giving in to the desire for some alcohol - that sounds very weak doesn't itbut I am going to try my best for tonight.
Another 1 AFD yesterday which makes 3/15 in total for August

I have read the last few pages to get a feel for it
I am going to go for 2 AFDs a week for August, then 3 AFDs Sept...
So, for August that would be 8 AFD's to aim for and anything extra is a bonus
I have already done 1 AFD so far. 7 left to go.
I am also going to reduce the amount I have, bit by bit, as I drink a lot:o:o. Only evenings, no day time drinking but still much too much.

Thanks Shaggydoo - I think I have been a bit pathetic with my aim for 8 AFs in August so I am going for more of a challenge of 3 a week, so TARGET 12 AFDs for me for August.
Tonight will be an AF night.0 -

My Dh commented that he hadn't even missed drinking this week and suggested we stick to just having a drink at the weekend (he doesn't know about the SNC or this thread!!).

Hi everybody! Well I've managed a pathetic 0/6 AFDs for August so far, but after a bit of a heavy night last night I think I'll find it quite easy for the next few days. I only have two 'nights out' planned for the rest of the month so can still hit my target of 20.
I'm still reading through some of the older posts and continuing to be inspired! Keep it up everyone!0
