Hope I don't sound too crazy. It helps to speak to you guys, I know you won't judge me.

If we were here to judge we'd be on £250k+ per year

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

One drink is too many/never enough. Fell/jumped off wagon big style. Trying to drown out future sorrows: mum is shrinking each time I visit, and today I brought my grandson (DS2's) to see her but she wasn't well enough to sit with us and took herself off to bed. Later on, after I took grandson home, I then went grocery shopping for mum, followed by a visit to granddaughter (DS1s). Mum rang DS1 because she needed someone to talk to. That's never happened before. I curtailed visit to DGD.

Ashamed to say I drank a bottle of wine with/after dinner, trying to what? Want to cry, for me, for mum, for the fact that I live 180 miles away.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
