Morning everyone,
I won't say 'Good Morning' because I am not feeling too great.
Like many of you, I had a few difficultites keeping off the sauce over the weekend and I just feel cruddy this morning. HUgs toe veryone who struggled this weekend.
Anyway, onwards and upwards, I am going to have a completely AF week, pinky swear, so I'm signing up for the
SCHOOL NIGHT CHALLENGE
Gien: 4 nights, for definite!
Anyone coming to join me on the wagon???Trying to keep in budget.

Morning Gien,:hello:
Please put me down for 4. I was AF last night and I am out for dinner Thursday - so I'll aim for 4.
Thanks
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
Morning All
Satchmo - You are not alone, believe me, I had a good heart to heart with someone yesterday to get out in the open my feelings I have went through the last few weeks due to certain members of my family.
I am back on the wagon as of tonight, I have again been drinking too mucg & drank far far too much over the weekend & felt really really guilty whilst doing it, passed out on the couch on Saturday night. Got up Sunday & couldn't remember anything from Saturday (but pretended to DH I knew what he was talking about)
. So I am not going to pretend its going to be easy this week, but I know after I get the first few under my belt it will be easier. DH is also nights this week so that will help me stay on the wagon. I am not even going to have my usual date night drink tomorrow. Off to have a wee catch up now x

Thanks for all the hugs and support, it means a lot to me. I had one drink last night, and a much better evening. My lovely sister came to mums, and we had a nice dinner. The lively company was much better for both mum and me. I made sis take the remainder of the wine home with her out of temptations way.
I told mum (in a nice way) that she had to complete a page a day of homework in the form of completing a questionnaire about what sort of care she envisaged. I'm now back at home, and when I called her to say I was home, she stunned me by saying she had been talking to a friend about sheltered housing in her home town. If that comes about, it will be a huge step forward.
Gien, Shaggydo & McPep, hope this week is better for you (and anyone else who is struggling with life in all its glory). What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
23 AFDs for me tonight0

10 AF nights for me including tonight!
Started "Insanity" workout for 60 days starting today so that should cut back on the booze as it's a killer with a clear head and body never mind being off colour!
Good Luck to everyone - it's a new week after all!

Shaggy and Satchmo, your in my thoughts, I only hope I can show similar strength when its my turn to cope with aging parents and death. Please don't be so critical, your doing your best given the circumstances and it would be a whole lot worse if you weren't here to be accountable too. Bug hugs to you both.
Had a crappy sunday too, my DD has been rehearsing for a dance show for the last few months, was really excited about the performance and the whole team bonds really well. She did the final rehearsal with her friends in the morning, by the afternoon when I helped her change into her uniform, I noticed spots - chicken pox. An hour and half from show time. Of course I had to cancel her, we were so gutted, my mum was coming, bill had a ticket, our whole sunday was planned around the timings, we'd eaten dinner at lunch time and the show was going to be amazing, she was one of the star performers. Her teacher was gutted to say the least. Poor little mite, I felt absolutely awful for her. Why couldn't it have waited just 3 more hours?
Anyway, my friends said the show went well and the kids had a great time. DD couldn't go to the usual monday night training, but just before bedtime, her teacher came round with a helium balloon, card signed by EVERYBODY and some chocolate. My DD was gobsmacked, then she quickly recovered and couldn't shut up. What a nice touch for a little girl!!! She'll be spending her week off school drawing a personalised thank you card, that should distract from some of the itching.
Was also pleasantly surprised that DS didn't show one hint of jealousy over the whole thing and was equally as delighted to see the teacher and made a fuss of DD too. (Maybe he knows she will share the choc with him).
My last day at the supermarket tomorrow, despite them half way through my notice, suddenly finding me the hours I needed to stay. Sorry but I have plans and have committed to other people, you should have done this 4 months ago or one of the 3 times I asked for it. I'll be sad to leave in some ways though, another end of an era, plus the useful food discount too.

Got my Barclaycard Initial today, recommended by MSE.
0% for 5 mths on purchases. Set up a DD for minimum repayments.
Is it a crap end to the month cos I feel crap.
Went to GPs this am. ultrasound showed an enlargement of the right pyramidal lobe of the thyroid gland. End of story.
Stopped thyroxine as I am only borderline and not feeling much benefit from it.
Sertraline upped to 200 mg max dose but I took 250mg today as couldn't be asked to take the extra half tablet so took a full one. Still no effect lol.
Anyway my dad's been in care since 1st May I haven't seen him for over a week I think as my depression has been bad. Work is still continuuing at his home and I managed to pluck up the courage to face my family who are doing the decorating etc.
Feel a real disappointment to everyone, wish I could pull myself together.
Think I need to stay off the booze.
Feeling fed up, got issues with childhood things, and things way back that are haunting me badly.
Sorry everyone, I won't be so miserable tomorrow hopefully.
2 SNC/5 so far and 21 AF days.
Tesco Credit Card £250 £25 DD 0% for next 10 months.
Barclaycard Initial £241.45 0% for next 7 mths.Your parents choose your beginning....
