    12 AFDs for me please.

Also a big up to Barny1979 - when were the few days you did drink this year?

I drank on the 23rd February at a stag-do, then 29th March at the wedding reception, then 30th March on a date, then 5th and 6th April.

Next time I will drink is probably 26th April. So drank 5 days in the year so far.

    13/30 AFDs for me.

Boss, how are you now? Better I hope.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Morning all, 13 AFDs for me please :)

Went to a friend's surprise birthday party last night, even though neither of us felt great. I am glad we went in one way, but part of me questions why we force ourselves to do these things when we're not well!

By the time we left (only stayed until 10pm) I hardly had any voice left. This morning I feel slightly worse and still have little of my voice, think my OH is appreciating that at the moment :rotfl:

Perhaps all this stress has taken its toll on the both of us, as we're both feeling rough. I just hope we're better by next Saturday for the move, although nothing will stop me moving :T

Hope everyone has a chilled Sunday x

    Hello everyone.

I used to come on here quite some time ago but left when some-one said there was 'no hope' as I had tried - and failed - many times to stop drinking completely.

This morning I have decided that there is hope. Instead of promising myself I will quit forever I will just concentrate on today.

Today is a 'new day' and I will not have a drink - so my target today is 1 AFD.

There are a couple of old faces on this thread and many new ones too. I look forward to joining you all on my new journey.

    New Day
Today is a new day and I'm gonna make it a good one. :)

    Morning all :D

We had a great evening with our friends last night and although I had a few glasses of wine it was nothing like my previous excesses :j
So up and off out for a run...may get blown around as its very windy out there today! Having sunday roast with the family later so may have a glass of red, but we'll see.

New Day - Welcome back, well done on returning, I like you are taking it a day at a time. Good luck for today :)

Lilith - Hope you are beth soon feeling better, I am sure you are right about the stress being a factor.

Shaggy - Hope you are well my dear, thanks so much for keeping us all in check, you are brilliant :A

satchmo1 - Well done on the PB, I need to get back into the swing of regular running, may look into these park runs maybe there is one near me...

Keep up the good work everyone and have a great Sunday.

    Mari xx
