Just popping on to say hi and a little update to say at 3mths totally AF and don't miss it one little bit. Probably will have another 3mths AF too to tag on the end. Only 2 drinks all year in total - 2 single drinks 1 per time.

Good luck everone with your own personal challenges - take it day by day or step by step and you will get there.

    Hi All

Markman - wow!!! Wish I actually had a spare 6 hours to read anything, that would be bliss :rotfl:

I have decided we are giving the Indian meal a miss tonight, my two kids won't eat indian food so we are just going to my aunts later for tea & cake, I will pass up the cake as well :D

6 hours of reading back from my last AF posting in Sept 2012. That will teach me :o

About 80 pages worth of posts - I feel like I've read a whole book and really have a feeling for everyone that have joined since I last posted (I can't list everyone but Jak, 41 & mrsdee have really stood out).

Funny, because I have just finished my first fiction book in many a year ("Eleven" by Mark Watson - really made me think about relationship and our actions) and I seem to be in a very empathetic & caring state at the moment.

Really nice to see some familiar names and loads of new posters too. Lots of red and a real positive spirit - lots of people doing really well.:T

All through the read-back I've had the recollections of the fantastic feeling of the morning-after..... being AF! The sense of achievement before you've even got out of bed. Brilliant! Then 10 mins later, I find myself thinking "Nearly pub-o-clock. I'll read more on the tablet there." !!!!!!. It's like I'm not understanding why I'm reading this thread and that is about not doing that. :(

Anyway, I'm glad I've got back on here and thank everyone for posting everything they have. There is SOOOO much support and positivity here. It's not a magical cure, but what is. Maybe beer?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Good luck to everyone on here, old and new. I hope you get whatever you came to find, and that if, even if just while you are reading/typing, you get to feel better about anything that is worrying you.:A

Hopefully I'll be putting some bold, red numbers back up here soon too.

Well done all, and "Thank You!" !:A:A

P.S. Cuppa - goes without saying.

    THank you Mark!!:D

Yes, it was SIX HOURS straight reading. Anyone care to try to read from the first post in the first thread?????

I'm impressed, really and truely. Still it kept you busy and hopefully inspired. January and February were such inspiring reads.

BTW, where the devil has JAK got too? Hope she is ok?

    BTW2, 10/24 af please

Emotionally had a massively sad 24 hours, shed way too many tears, to the point of a headache and extremely sore red eyes this morning. But i forced myself to get a grip and get back in control so not to spoil the kids day out. The pain had to come out but boy I hate getting that uncontrollably upset and for so long. I know it will happen again though, this hurt is still bubbling away in the background. It surfaced yesterday due to Bill and I having a 45 mins heart to heart about the whys and wherefore's. Too many mistakes on either side. I did mention the alcohol, which he said was never an issue. He thought i drank more than I should but because I was generally functioning and in control of life, he didn't think it an issue. For him it was the whole ED's and neglecting his "needs" for a period of time when the kids were little. It gradually wore away at his love for me.

    Anyway i won't bore you.

    10/30 AFDs.

I'm really struggling with the high drama of a colleagues emotional meltdown all the time in work. I do sympathise, but I really struggle with the amount of time lost to phone calls, texts, tears and talk. She sits right opposite me, so it's hard to ignore. I would never say the above to her or anyone on the team, and I know it sounds heartless. I'm not heartless, just very task driven and definitely a workaholic.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

So sorry you're having a hard time. I suppose it's part of a 'grieving' process. But boring, never.:)

    5 AFDs please Shaggy.

I'm out to lunch tomorrow so plan to have a glass or two but a third of the way through the month and halfway to target is OK for me.

Morning everyone, 10 AFDs for me please :)

Looking forward to the weekend, it's felt like a long week this week :rotfl:

OH has been head-hunted for another job. We both work in the same place currently, but he has lots of different contracts with the organisation that may not necessarily get re-funded from one year to the next, so if he got this other job it would mean a bit more security.

We'll see....I feel rather odd not having to come on here and moan about anything! Although I'm sure the time will come again :rotfl:
