4AF please Shaggy, slow going this month0

It's going to be an AF weekend, but had a testing night last night which has ruined my weekend plans. I was going back home to Manchester to sort things out at my property, preparing it to be rented out. Car lost all power on the M6 and ended up stuck on the hard shoulder, resulted in car being taken back to Shropshire on a trailer, so my plans in Manchester have gone pear-shaped this weekend0

Hi all, 11 AFDs for me please Shaggy.
Well, out of nowhere I woke up with a horrendous sore throat this morning, could hardly swallow. Had an awful dream as well about my mum phoning me to tell me my nan had passed away which wasn't a nice way to wake up
Have gradually got worse throughout the day and now ache all over. I don't get ill often so I hate being unwell!
Am making myself feel better with a bar of Lindt chocolate lol.
Happy Friday everyone0 -
Barney, sorry your car is kaput, but I'm so glad you are safe!
12/30 AFDs for me. I took a sleeping tablet last night, otherwise I would have tossed and turned all night fuming about the burglary. I can't do that again tonight, or I won't be fit to run my 11th 5k in the morning. So, instead, I've hoovered and done some tidying, and I'm going to have a chamomile tea soon. Dear God, please sooth my racing brain.
Oh (look away if you have a sensitive nature) and please give my DH some concept of what not to say to my mother when she rings ... me: I'll ring back in 5 minutes, I'm just on the loo. Him to his MIL: she'll ring you back in 5 minutes, she's just on the loo. Honestly, where did he learn his telephone skills! What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
Well here I am living it up on a Friday night with a large hot chocolate and slice of cake! That'll be AFD No 4 please Shaggy
Barney - Sorry to hear about your car and weekend plans, hope all is fixable
satchmo1 - What a terrible thing to happen, you really can't believe what people will do. Hope you manage to get it sorted, what have the police said? And :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: at the OH that's the sort of thing mine would do, not decorum at all!
Good luck tomorrow, I so need to get back out running, have been awful later, too many excuses!!
Lilith - Hope you are soon feeling better and have sweet dreams tonight
macpep1 - Never mind at least it was one night, not every night. Don't be too hard on yourself, look how well you have been doing!
Hope everyone else is ok tonight and managing to be where they want to be

Morning all, 12 AFDs for me please Shaggy
Well the infection has gone on my chest now. Both me and my OH are sitting here coughing lol.
Off to a meeting today about my new job which is starting at the beginning of May so I am hoping to find out what will be happening as no one has any idea about how it's all going to work! Perhaps the managers don't know either
Sun and blue skies here - hooray - have a lovely Saturday everyone0 -
Morning ladies and gents
I have woken up bright and breezy today :j
Lot's to do this weekend, seeing friends tonight and trying to decide what to do about drinking. OH has to pick DS up from work later so won't drink at all. Perhaps I will call my friend and see if we can agree just to share 1 bottle between us! Will ponder for a while!!
Have a lovely day everyone0 -
12 AFDs for me please.
Also a big up to Barny1979 - when were the few days you did drink this year?0 -

The sunshine tempted out a record 379 runners. No hats or gloves needed today.
I knew from the start off I was running well. Now I'm determined to shave off those pesky 4 seconds and get down to 35 minutes next week. Watch this space!
Did you know that alcohol depletes the amount of oxygen available to your body. I used to regularly run with a hangover: it's not conducive to running personal bests. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0
