Watched 666 Park Avenue on catch-up

    Is that any good?
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

12 AFDs for me please Shaggy :)

Got an interview on Friday (not sure if I posted this before). It's a drop in wages but it's a walk away (as opposed to an hour drive) so the savings in petrol would make up for the drop in wages.

Would also be great for career as hoping to become a clinical psychologist.

Just trying to keep my cool - there are 12 positions available but the community is small round here so I am hearing about more people who I know who are applying. Some are more experienced so I am starting to think I have lost already :o

    Need to stay positive!

Nearly the weekend everyone, two more days to get through :)

12/31 AFDs for me. Pizza and popcorn tonight, which is hardly healthy but very tasty.

The newly elected Pope Francis 1 has just appeared on the balcony of St Peter's, Cardinal Bergoglio of Argentina, let's pray that he leads the RC church strongly, transparently and in a way that will please God.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

Shaggydoo if your gonna watch it watch it from the beginning.
It may not be your cuppa tea but good eye candy from the male actors.
So having a curry in a mo and AF helps when I come home late as I tended to drink when in the house all evening.
13 AF days and 28 days sober tomorrow evening if I succeed, fingers crossed.

    Happy Birthday Maman!

Another one tonight - by Jove I am getting the hang of this!! 11 AF nights!!

Finished packing for NYC and just remembered about my last trip there - pull your chairs up this is a desperation of alcohol tale...........

I was in NYC during the summer & other half & I were out at a gorgeous exclusive restaurant in Upper Westside with our NYC friends. When dinner was done & we'd said goodnight to our friends (we'd already had a tonne of cocktails, numerous bottles of red wine and a brandy to finish) we took ourselves off to a "gentlemen only" bar in Chelsea where we were the only ones in suits & ties and everyone else was in leather attire with various bits er... missing. Not really the sort of place we'd normally go but it was late and I wanted more booze! I drank so much more on top of what i'd already had I ended up puking into the drain outside the bar, scuffing the fronts of my new shoes where I ended up on my hands and knees vomiting, thrown out of the bar for good and woke up to find I had puked down the leg of my trousers. I was 40 at the time. It gets to the stage where that sort of drinking at that age isn't funny, it is desperate and uncouth! Thank god for this thread and thanks for your encouragement!

N.B If anyone wants the name of "that" bar private message me!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
