So should tt of known that I couldn't get that package? Am I right to refuse to pay any cancellation charges? I only got the package as it was alot cheaper then sky.0

Yes they should-when you entered your no. into the online checker it should have told you that a higher rate would apply.
Are you actually on Rowlands Castle exchange though? What does samknows say?No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
What is samknows? Ilive there, so I assume I Am.0

I agree with earlier poster - approach the problem via the TT website forums.
They are usually quite fast to respond and can be surprisingly helpful. Also, you'll probably get responses from other TT customers who have had similar problems. You can search the forum for previous instances of the problem and, hopefully, its resolution.0 -
It wouldn't let me log into the forums on the tam talk site.0

I have had exactly the same as you, took out their package 18 october and they switched the line but still waiting broadband. Constantly being fobbed off. Spoke to a manager who said our broadband would be an extra £15 a month as we are so far from the exchange. They keep saying its due to our MAC code being expired (ive supplied them 3 different ones now). I asked to cancel the whole package as i wasnt get what i signed up for and been told they will charge me £162!!!!!! Tried going on the forum but doesnt recognise my talk talk account number0

Update guys.. Well after alot of stress and anger.. I think I am sorted! They have agreed to cancel my account and not charge me anything! That's hat they say tho! I now have to wait 3 weeks for sky to take my phone line back over! I stupidly cancelled my direct debit as I was so angry and that they charged me a 30.00 connection charge!! Even after everything! S I'm not sure what's going onto happen there!!0

This is complete nonsense. Either you are on a TT LLU'd exchange or not. If you are, then the standard rate should apply. If not, you pay extra. Distance has nothing to do with it. Is your exchange LLU'd for TT? What is the exchange name?No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Just out of interest, did TalkTalk transfer your Sky phone number over or did you get a new number from TalkTalk?0
