when we got engaged oh said he`d like a ring as well to fend all the adoring women off him :rotfl: so we went and had a look around and found the ring that he liked. this in effect will be his wedding ring as well when we eventually tie the knot as oh likes the ring so much which is fine by me as it saves forking out for another one :D
proper prior planning prevents !!!!!! poor performance! :p

my dh already had a claddagh ring, which he started wearing on his engagement finger after we were engaged.Very MSE

He only wears his wedding ring on his days off now, not safe to wear it at work.

I bought my fiance an engagement ring. It's a gold band with diamonds in it. It won't fit with his wedding ring though so when we get married he will wear it on his other hand.

I think its a good idea to get an engagement ring for a guy, especially if you're not getting married for a few years.

I like titanium rings, they are manly and you get ones with little diamonds which I like. If you can have one so can he! there are squillions of them about but a very quick search online showed examples of ones I quite like:

I like how you get polished or unpolished IYKWIM, and think titanium is quite hardwearing.

Congrats on ur engagement by the way :T

EDIT: there is another post in "Special Occassions, Weddings and Wedding Anniversaries" on the same topic x

My OH got me one when we got engaged, diamond solitaire, only problem is it’s too small so she has to wear it for me

    Hiya

I have got a very similar thread running

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=440669

So i know exactly where you are coming from. I probably won't be able to get married for at least a year & my 'intended' wants to show with pride that he is committed just as I will be when I proudly wear my engagement ring.

I had originally been looking at white gold rings but have heard that these need to be re-dipped every few years so I'm now thinking along the lines of titanium, not only for him I have seen some I like too.

    Congratulations xxx

When we got engaged I bought my OH a simple signet ring a it like this one

    http://www.signetsandcyphers.com/styles.php (Oxford style)

He wore it on his ring finger until we got married, then wore his wedding ring on ring finger and moved signet ring to third finger right hand. Congrats on the engagement btw x
