I purchased this for my husband when we got engaged. The inscription reads
'With my two hands I give you my heart and crown it with my love'.Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless. ~ Mother Teresa0 -

does he actually want an engagement ring? (and does he know you're getting married yet?;))
(and for the triple whammy IMO that ring in the link is ....well I'd be mortified if I had to wear it, looks a bit grotesque personally, but each to their own)0 -

so, what sort of thing would you go for?

Congrats on your engagement! Have you got a date yet?
My hubby didn't have an engagement ring, but when he was shopping for mine he took one of my old rings and put it on his key ring and has never given it back (I did ask, but he said he likes it).
So I suppose what I'm suggesting is that it doesn't have to be a ring necessarily, you could get him something like a watch or keyring instead?0 -

When we got enagaged my now hubby picked a gold band, and wore it with pride, he still wears it for doing diy etc so he doesnt wreck his wedding ring.
Good luck xIf you obey all the rules...you miss all the fun!! Katherine Hepburn0 -
Congrats on the engagement

Ring for the man? No WAY IMHO! My engagement was a total surprise and I would have felt it a bit cheeky of OH to want a ring too. Besides I could never have matched his diamond solitaire set in platinum which I received int he correct manner, he down on one knee!
And besides keeping it traditional saves money;) Wasn't that long ago men didn't even have WEDDING rings :rolleyes:Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:
I have done reading too!
