Silly question time I'm afraid.

Could anyone please tell me how I change my avatar picture. At the moment I have a ridiculous ginger kitten and I would really like something else.

I do think that the idea of automatically allocating one of the standard avatar pictures by default is rather odd.
It seems to have no positive effects and could antagonise users who get something they don't like.

Was there ever any rational explanation for why this was done?

How do I find these famous avatars?

I've seen people discussing/complimenting each others avatars, I've searched and can't find mine.

Help a confused girl out here!

Either upload your own from your PC or [STRIKE]choose one of the generic ones[/STRIKE] watch out for the rules on size if uploading

You don't need to join any 'group' after joining MSE.
If you want to post either reply in existing threads or start a new thread on any board.

There are not any join able 'usergroups' as there are on some forums.
