  • I'm sorry you've had a rough experience with them, they've always been faultless with me, in fact I emailed them last night because I wanted to order my mum a pair in red, which was coming up at £35, and they emailed me this afternoon to tell me I could have them at the sale price today if I wanted.

I got the order confirmation email last night at 22.46 (that does not state any order number, goods ordered or price) that says they will send another email shortly with details of my order and billing info, but this email has not arrived yet.

I have emailed them to see what's what.

  • Same happened to me - I ordered snowboots at about 1.30 this morning and saved the screen grab then got the confirmation email about 8.30 for 3 times the amount! I phoned them and the customer services lady I spoke to was quite rude and told me I must have bought them at the higher price as it was past midnight!

Anyway, the upshot was that they are honouring the lower price and will refund the difference onto my credit card tomorrow. Blinking cheek if you ask me. Not bought from them before, not sure if I will again. Phone them up and tell them is my advice.

Oh, and thank you to the OP.

Same here. I'm really utterly disappointed with Lands End and actually have cancelled the entire order on principal. The order was placed for one amount, and they have charged me over double!

I've had 3 phone calls to sort this out and lost 45 mins trying to speak to someone to sort this - really really poor customer service from a usually top rate company.

I was hoping they'd reply to my email before the 10pm cut off, don't want to waste more money on their 0844 number.. especially if it takes ^^ that long to sort it. Really poor show from Lands End on this.

I know, waiting to hear back from them, wouldn't have ordered at £30.. did you notice the first order confirmation email at point of order didn't have a price on..

Yes, and there was no order number on mine either. Fingers crossed it all works out ok

Just to say as well, on my Yahoo mail there is an advert there at the moment (have it up on screen at the moment) where the boots are still advertised at £12.50 and the jacket at £14.50, but when you click through they have increased in price of course, so still an old advert running currently on Yahoo :(

  • Interestingly too, Topcashback has tracked my order at the amount I had ordered - £14.50. NOT the £30 they then inflated to at 10am this morning.

I also have a screen shot of the checkout page.

Naughty Lands End. Hope others get refunded pronto.

I ordered a jacket at £14.50 on the 22nd. Got order conf (with order number) showing the correct price. Looks like the correct amount has been requested from my credit card as well.

However, I still haven't had a despatch email or anything even though on their website it says they despatch within 24 hours. Does anybody know if they normally take this long to despatch?

I had a lovely email back from their CS this morning apologising and saying they have credited my credit card back :)

No despatch news yet though. Hope the jacket fits now though, took a risk on a size 8 being big enough to get a jumper under like they claim... as normally I'd go up a size for a winter jacket.

Same here - except I've not had the proper order confirmation yet - just checked my bank account and they've taken £14.50. I've emailed to ask when they expect to dispatch it.

I got a nice email back today saying that the squall jacket was despatched this morning at the correct price of £14.50 and it should be with me in 3 -4 working days :) I never did get the email with details of my order and billing info that the confirmation email promised though, nor a despatch email!
