    It was Sam's capital, Frodo's work. 50/50 for the profit. What's the point in souring a friendship?

    Firstly I wouldn't have told Sam I made a profit because it was nothing to do with him. Since he already told him, I think the money is his not Sam's since he sold it not Sam. His leg work.

    Moral of this story, don't brag to people about the profit you've made if you don't want to share it.
