What have you tried so far (other than the ones I listed)?

You are asking for a BASIC account arnt you?

Most basic accounts dont even do a credit check, so what exactly are you being told because someone should take you.

Rev, are you applying for basic bank accounts or ordinary current accounts? You should be approved for a basic account as it is made for people who cannot get standard current accounts. Some of the banks, when you apply for a basic bank account, sneakily put you through for their standard current accounts. Make sure you are applying for a basic bank account. HTH

I've seen people with 0 rating get a bank account. There's something else going on here.

Have you gone into the bank and talked face to face?

ALL UK citizens are entitled to an account, you cannot be refused unlss there is a flipping good reason.

You don't get scored for basic accounts because they don't provide any sort of credit.

You must have some bad fraud marker on your file as FireWyrm says.
