The tax credit back payment means that I am in credit at the end of the month for the first time in a couple of yearsnow need to uk

Hi there OG, just catching up with diaries after months of neglect. You've been through the mill eh?
Love the honesty of your diary. Hope you are feeling a bit better than you were and oh is behaving himself.

Hi Muser, hope all is well.
oh back on the straight and narrow after a verbal rollicking!
It turns out that I don't have diverticulitus, but have had a couple more attacks, so will be going back for further tests to try and find out what the problem is. Wine and crisps no longer on my banned list!
Had a wonderful day at twinlakes theme park today (1/2 price deal) followed by a meal out. Not very Mse in the end, but lovely family time.
I've also been very impulsive and booked a hot sunny family holiday for next April. Eeek. It will be the kids first time abroad. A good deal, which I'm justifying by cutting down on the summer hols trips and we won't be going away as a couple next autumn due to my new job.
However, we are going on holiday in 14 days, soooooo looking forward to it:D0 -
Hi there.
How annoying that you were misdiagnosed. I hope they manage to find out what's really wrong with you. But at least you can have a glass of wine now!
Hope don't have too many 'turns' and enjoy your holidayEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Thanks Goldiegirl.
I've just caught up with your news about Meniere's. Whilst it's pants, it's good to know what you're dealing with. I had an appointment with the consultant yesterday, they are now thinking Crohn's disease, but I'm not convinced as the symptoms don't really match. Another scan and bloods booked in.....
4 days until we go to Majorca:D0 -

Well, we had a wonderful week away :-)
Awaiting MRI and bloods results.
A good productive day today, cheques in at the bank, standing order set up for savings and £50 found In a handbag.
I've worked out we could do with £6k emergency fund, we have £2k saved, so need to build this up. Less than 6 years left of the mortgage, yippee.
The novelty of going to back to work has faded! It's local, great for childcare, but mind numbing. I do really appreciate the weekends now, and am really looking forward to the half term. Love this time of year; DDs birthday, halloween, bonfire night, christmas.....then only 4 months til lanzarote.
Been looking for cheap breaks for next summer, wow, I can't believe the prices. We've gone to places like centre parcs, forest holidays etc out of term time and got good deals. I'm wondering whether the job is cost effective, we probably saved more in holidays than I now earn.0 -
:DLoving half term week , appreciating time off with the children so much more now that I'm working. It's been gentle on the purse, kids am cinema, a pumpkin hunt at Bolton a Abbey and party at home for DD. This was third the price of usual parties, only 7 kids, but much more fun.
Holding a halloween party tonight (I do love halloween:j), family over for coffee, cake and presents tomorrow, followed by bonfire and fireworks in town. Yippee.
Been a spendy couple of weeks re. Christmas, bought far too much for the kids again. Need to budget again.
Back to 4.30am wake ups with DD now the clocks have changed, she didn't adjust last year and did this until the spring:( feeling shattered already.0
