:hello:Hi Muser, thank you kindly.
WOOHOO I found the missing Christmas DVDs today:D now safely boxed in the 'Christmas' section of the loft for next year:T
Our summer hols are now booked, 2 camping trips, so now only got 3 weeks of activities to organise for the kids. And I've booked a sunny beach holiday for OH and I in September:j it did us the world of good last year, can't wait. My overdraft, however, is looking a little green about the gills.....
The paleo is going well, when I stick to it. I've finally got around to looking at MyFitness pal app! which was kindly pointed out to me a loooong time ago - it's fab, a great incentive - although I've been losing/gaining the same 4lbs for the past two weeks:o still standing at -9lbs.
We lost a fair bit of guttering in the winds. The fascias need replacing too, with £2k quoted, we're going to have to wait until October and increase the mortgage when we sort the new deal out.
Still battling with DDs sleep issues:(0 -
:DVery excited, I've decided to switch mortgages early, just waiting for the paperwork. Monthly interest payments will drop by £80, which means we can overpay by the max 20% £170pm .......:T:T:T a small early penalty by I don't care, that was the longest 5 year fix in history.
I now need to figure a way of bringing it down to below 6 years....
The boychild's party went well, £87 so within budget. Sleep is still elusive, playing musical bedrooms, DD has moved back upstairs in a bid to alay her anxiety...
Did so well with paleo last week, got down to 13lb loss, then had Major blowout weekend- heavy on the eats and drinks , back up to 8lb loss aaaahhhh:mad:0 -
I've booked another sneaky little holiday for Easter:D the school holidays are very hard with DD, it's so much easier to be away where we can give her 1-1 without worrying about all the washing /paperwork/ jobs round the house.
So......I've been glued to Sunshine Stacey's regular offerings on hotukdeals...and very nearly booked a hot beach holiday that we definitely can't afford:(
Instead I've gone very Mse and booked a weeks camping in northumberland for £150. Okay, we still can't afford it, but it will be less of a hit to the overdraft.
Bad/sad news on the doggy front......0 -
:.....speech session finished early so couldn't finish my post!
Cross with tes@os, did another attempt at a home delivery. The 'look what I found' range was down to a £1 each - they're fab for camping, so I ordered 30. Delivery arrived and the promotion has ended and they wouldn't honour the order despite e-mail confirmation. The LAST time I use Mr Ts. ASD@ have the same promo, so testing their delivery service tomorrow.
If successful, food for Easter and summer camping trips are sorted for OH and I:D
Boy child off sick for past 2 days, rare for him, but he's an easy sickie, curled up on sofa with iPad for most of the day.
A sad visit to the vets today. Our 14 yr old boy is losing control over his back legs. Vet thinks it's his spine, but also that he may have tumours due to his strange tummy shape:( he's not in any pain at this point. We had a long chat....the upshot is we wouldn't go down the surgery route. I'm secretly hoping it's just due to excess weight, so OH is forbidden to give him extra snacks/meals and I'm going to up his walks. I can't imagine life without him, he's such a beautiful personality.0 -
:eek:We are still plague ridden. Having finally packed the kids off to school after 10 days of sympathy, grapes and mind boggling amounts of c@lpol, I am now feeling carp.
No major expenditure, although I'm scouring ebay and gumtree for a couple of single beds, as it looks like we could be sharing with DD for a fair while.
MIL has invited herself to stay for a few nights:eek: she is not the most 'hands on' mother/ grandmother. we probably have contact once or twice a year by post at most, so it shall be interesting.0 -
Good look with the mil!

He's looking quite perky Muser, the arthritus tablets kicked in quickly and no more leg problems. He's not overly impressed with his tiny meal portions, but is beginning to get curves....an awful lot quicker than I am!
Lovely news today, we've been given tickets to Legoland, i have family nearby so we can make a little trip out of it:j:j
I've also managed to renew our home insurance £30 cheaper than last year (£15 of which I've just blown on fish and chips...doh).0 -
1 stone lost:T:T
Successful shopping trip to the outlet centre, got DD and DS shoes for£45, good for quality brands.
Paid the balance for our Easter camping trip today. A little concerned by the hailstones and cover of frost/ice this morning. As fate would have it, sp@rtsdirect have a 90% sale on thermals, so I've stocked up for the kids. £23 spent.
I'm beginning to become partied out with boychild's reception class...I don't want to see another magician for at least a year.;)0 -
Well done on the weight loss :T
I'm considering buying a tent  seems a good way to be able to afford more holidays.
