I'm in and determined not to be too complacent - just because the place looks tidier than it usually is, doesn't mean I don't actually have to do what's on the list. Don't let it build up again.

College web site says we're planning to be open tomorrow (boo), despite many local schools having announced already that they will be closed. We just have to get up and check the web site at 7am "in case anything has changed". Snow settled well on our village road, I'm certainly not going anywhere until anything frozen overnight has thawed out.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

I'm in. Thank you for the threads Dusty and Natty. Thanks for your support flypeople.

DS1 has a Gcse tomorrow so I expect he will be in school even if it carries on snowing.

I'm going to straighten the sofa throws then go to bed.

    Night night

Thanks for the new thread Natty

    Good luck skint and babyskint

Primary school is closed tomorrow. Kids are delighted. I hate snow, it scares me. I hope I get excused from work, DH had to collect DS2 from a friend and said the high street was lethal.

    Stay safe everyone x

I'm in again this week please. Need to brave DD's room. I haven't ventured in since she went back to Uni last Sunday. Her was basket is empty as all clean clothes decluttered back with her but need to strip, wash and remake the bed and pick up any debris left behind. Put it off this week but it will be done this week.

Thanks for starting the new list, Natty

I managed to do most of last week's list (thanks for that Dusty), caught up with all the washing yesterday, got rid of the ironing pile this evening while watching Call the Midwife, have parcelled up 7 eB@y sales :) and also managed to get on well with the stuff that has kept me mostly sitting at the computer this weekend.

DH has spent most of this weekend painting wargaming figures (English Civil War) so is a happy bunny :D

I can't say that I'm looking forward to it, but I've got to drive into town and do various errands tomorrow. My course will not be cancelled unless nobody else turns up, because we are already tight on time - having cancelled last Monday for what turned out to be just a few flakes of sleet by comparison with what we've got now. Fortunately we live near the hospital so all the roads into the city centre are cleared regularly: we just have to get out onto the main road, and our cul-de-sac is like a skating rink  I promise I shall drive *very* carefully! ;)

    Extras this week so far:

    Bags to CS (loads!)
    More to SA
    Sort website
    Photograph displays
    Start writing newsletter
    Phone LC re BBD
Measure our furniture and copy list onto card to keep in my handbag
List odd jobs to be done in house, room by room and ring OJM
Buy DH's birthday present (theatre tickets)
    Check date of K's birthday
Check whether DiL1 and DiL2 want the Paddington and Peter Rabbit table sets for DGC
    Holly berries to DS1
Name tapes to DS2 - he left school 17 years ago :p
    Check with DS1 re POA
Set up Skype to use with DGD1
    Big shop midweek
Meet friend for coffee (? Tuesday?)
    Make wedding bits
List at least 10 items on eB@y

Will be thinking of you tomorrow, Skint. Big (((hugs))) to you and SkintBaby.

Bonnie, if you can afford not to work for an indeterminate time, get out of that place as soon as you can. It's getting you down not just physically but also mentally.

Dancemum, sorry to hear that your DS2 is so unhappy. Hope he finds a friend soon.

Extra spoons available for the Dragon, Skint, GI, LW and anyone else who needs them - please help yourselves.

Nice to see pigpen popping in earlier.

    Bedtime: sleep well, everyone :shhh:

Thanks Dusty for last week and Natty for this week. I'm back in tomorrow and the list couldn't be more perfect. New lodgers haven't confirmed when they're arriving, and it could have been anytime from lunchtime today to teatime on Tuesday. Three loads of washing back indoors, the handtowel was frozen solid! Force 10 storm due between midnight and dawn, so that'll be interesting. Dog's arthritics are playing up again.

Skinty, and Skintette, take care, and good luck tomorrow. I hope it goes smoothly and a safe arrival is followed by a calm opening verse to life.
    Better is good enough.
  • Thank you all, entering radio silence now as had my pre meds and its about get a bit stabby here........will keep you good fly folks informed once Skint baby makes her entrance

    Morning All

We've had some more snow over night so driving to work will be fun! Cubs tonight so I hope we don't have any more snow as we're having a 'bring a friend' evening.

Skinty - looking forward to your news - thinking of you.

    Have a good day all

    Hugs
