Skinty glad you and Holly can come home, sit and enjoy for these first days only happen once.

Mumto5 hope the shopping is not too expensive, I need to take DS2 for a new ski jacket and black shoes (work won't have brown he wears for school) as he has grown again too.

School league tables out so that is a lot of work for a chair of S&A - ho hum. May do a HHC at 15:00 though to warm up and break up the figures!

  • Good afternoon :)

I decided on some soup and toast, nice and warming :D I did a bit of flying too. The bathroom stuff was all done this morning before we left for school and the desk/PC sorted after lunch.

    MY Must Do's:
    More studying this afternoon/evening
Roast Chicken dinner for tea (no after school clubs on Thursdays :j)
Buy, sign and post birthday cards for February birhdays - will do this on Friday

    Thursday Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
    Level One
Clean floors in these rooms (even if it is around the clutter) - Done
    Level Two
Clean baths, toilets and sinks - Done
Clear any clutter from desk - Done
Dust PC and desk, wipe with damp cloth if grimey - Done

    Level Three
Clear clutter from floor - Bathrooms clutter free but home office is sooo cluttered! This is my Room of Doom and the one that needs decluttering, a thorough deep clean and then decorating. I have the paint and the new blinds and curtains but the room is so full with just a small path cleared from door to desk
Wipe down tiles in bathroom - Done
    Clean shower screen - Done

    Extra mission:

Pick whichever you want to attempt:
    • Wipe the skirtings, door and window frames in these rooms - Have done this in bathroom only
    • Wash your bathroom mats - Done
    • Towels & Flannels- all washed this morning and now hanging in laundry room to dry

I'll try to read and catch up with the posts later but I hopeyou're all having a good day....

Whole house cleaned from top to bottom today - following my own lists but with added inspiration from Natty :T

DH is buying some white vinegar so that I can try it out on our acrylic shower screen - thanks for the tip, LW! I assume it works well on windows too? What sort of cloth do you use for it?

3 loads of washing done, and there will only be 5 shirts to iron :)

List made for OJM: it has turned out not as long as I had feared, and I can do a few things off it myself - in fact, I've already done two :D
The batteries needed replacing in the gas fire ignition (couldn't turn fire on) and when I took the fire surround off to do this 2-minute job, I also touched up the paintwork on the wall around the surround. The dirty marks have been annoying me for ages. At the same time I touched up a couple of scuff marks in the study, where we used the same paint as in the lounge. It's drying very quickly, and already the patches hardly show.

Off to declutter a cuppa :coffee: with DH, then some baking, I think.

Mumof2, it's good that you're getting the help you need.

Enjoy your M&S :coffee: on your loyalty card, Valli :rotfl:
