  • Yippee - a new baby for Skinty - congratulations!

We have the white stuff here for the first time which is typical as we had to make our 100 mile round trip to the dentist this morning. Just as I sat in the chair, School rang to say DS had stomach ache and could I come and collect him. Even though he has his own door key and is very responsible, they wouldn't release him to an empty house, so rather than going into Carlisle and doing some retail therapy, me and OH had to hot-foot it back to collect him. Guess what - he's perfectly fine now!

Only managed to sweep and mop the floor so far today and deal with a few pressing phone calls and filing, but will get cracking again in a bit.

Think I'll go into the kitchen now and prep dinner and tick a few more bits off the list whilst I'm in there. HHC anyone?

Skintbreeder Congratulations and welcome to Holly Kara.

Dailies have been done when I got in. Going to have tea, tackle dishes and leap in the shower.

Funfairprincess. I'm 14 miles north of Newcastle and heavy snow forecast tonight. North Northumberland quite bad. If you are on Facebook see Northumberland county weather updates. Hope that is helpful.

Kitchen as sparkly as I can make it. Not done the high areas that I can't reach without putting myself in danger, but Mr LW did those last week, so they shouldn't really need it.

I have, however, done the oven AND the micro!:D

Going to log off now and do my Brain Training - then, maybe, just maybe, I'll have 5 mins to sit down with Oscar Wilde.;)

Just home from work and thawing nicely but no flying yet today apart from S&S the bathroom and making the beds. DS has been home all day (school closed) so came home to a sink full of pots.
DS has decided he no longer likes left overs (sunday's meat in gravy), so tonight we are having chicken pie ;). (Chicken ahem from yesterday, mushroom soup and a pastry crust on top). He has just asked when it will be ready. Teenagers are so fickle :rotfl:

Flying seems to have taken all day, and achieved not much. The kitchen floor has been swept and washed, two bedrooms have been cleaned and made up for the new arrivals (no idea when), the shower room has had a good clean, the dining table has been washed, the dead flowers flung and the stairs have been done. Apart from the dailies, that's it. When kids/spare bedrooms appear later this week I'll revert back to today's kitchen/dining room list. I can't face any more today.
