    Morning everyone,

Thanks for that songs list Nicki - I'm inspired to do one of my own and use a few of the tracks on your list.

I see there's no news from Maralum yet .......are you all as excited as me to find out? :D

All this talk of babies on here this week has spurred me on to tidy ds' room this morning and now he's in his big boys bed I've dismantled the cot. Silly, really, but I could hardly see what I was doing through the tears. I never thought taking a cot apart could be so emotional. :o Ds was very poorly for the first 18 months of his life and it traumatised dh so much that he said "no more children". Ds is now 2yrs10mths and a healthy, bright little boy who we have managed to potty train this last week so I cried while packing away nappies this week as well!

I don't think I'll get much more done before I go to w**k but you never know!;)
    Have a lovely afternoon. xx

morning all - had below done before half 9 so have just enjoyed couple of hours cuppa and chat with friend :D off to parents in a min but just had time to put another load of washing on and tidied a few toys

hope everyone ok - feel deprived - i need a mix cd to do housework that doesn't involve 'she'll be coming round the mountain' or 'yellow submarine'

Friday, those dreaded kids rooms and spare rooms

    Level One
    [STRIKE]Vacuum (even if it's around clutter[/STRIKE])
    Level Two
Vacuum mattress - did this last week although have washed dd2 cot protector
[STRIKE]Pick up any toys etc laying around (if they are old enough can of course delegate)[/STRIKE] delegating was a battle but WAS a joint effort
[STRIKE]Strip beds and wash linen,[/STRIKE] replace with fresh linen
    Level Three
    Dust
    Clean window
    Declutter Mission Task
27 fling boogie, time to grab a bag and clear that clutter! girls rooms don't need it but think will do landing/playspace as it is a cluttered mess will see if any toys to get rid of - particularly cuddly toys!!!

For those who work and with little ones, [STRIKE]try to get those uniforms straight in the wash, makes life so much easier. [/STRIKE]
Have a quick tidy of the sitting room then apart from the dailies, enjoy your weekend. New post will be with you on Sunday night. For the newbies hope you've enjoyed your first week with us. Of course you can still post over the weekend, nothing stopping you.
  • Well you are all putting me to shame I've done nothing today ecept fold a load of clean washing and put a load on the line. How does every one manage to get so much done in such a short time?

This afternoon its sorting out mums new laptop and ironing then packing for the weekend. I am hoping I will get that lot done by tea time.

Is there any news from Maralum yet? I know I'm new here but really excited to hear those little cry's.:j

Just having a quick update while eating lunch, feeling very virtuous and productive even if i am only playing 'ketch-up'
How does every one manage to get so much done in such a short time?

i run around like a nutter all day.on a serious note, i try to be super organised like took the hoover upstairs the other day so it was there ready. Made tonights dinner last night so all i need do is heat it up, and multi-task like mad. Plus, i've been doing this a year, so nowhere is really awful, so today although i have hoovered, i didn't get all the different attachments out, i literally ran the hoover where it would reach, and for today while i am so busy it is good enough.

having a gorgeous jacket sweet potato with leftover chilli/cheese, and a big salad. I love it when all the veggies are really fresh and tasty. Just debating whether i should take baby to playgroup or not. On the one hand i have loads to do, but on the other, he will enjoy it, and i may be busier still in the next few weeks. Oh, sod it, we'll go. Nothing is spoiling if it doesn't get done, and worst case scenario is we will maybe end up setting off a bit later this evening. Decision made.

    Michelle, x

    Extras:
    • washed 2 loads of baby clothes
    • hung up to dry
    • emptied airers of dry clothes (could do with folding this stuff and putting away)

    Woo hoo, I'm done!

    3 bedrooms done.
    Hall, stairs and landing hoovered
One load of washing done and a separate one for the bedroom rug.
All my pieces of paper filed away, DH's left in a pile for him to do!

Just having a sandwich and cuppa then I'm off to sit in the garden as the sun has finally appeared down here to catch up on my diary. Not written in it for a week so a bit to do.

Hope everyone is having a great day.
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

I'm starting to flag.... I logged in this morning to find I actually have 117 items listed on ebay (they don't list some immediately to check that they're not fakes apparently and I forgot to take that into account :rotfl: ) - so far 60 of those items have proper descriptions (47 were already listed before yesterdays mamouth session) and I'm going numb again. I keep getting up and wandering around but it's not working. I'm also yawning past myself. Even Ricky Martin (my feel good summer sun music) isn't helping... maybe I need to resort to Starlight Express soundtrack, maybe the rythm will help with my typing, but I am not resorting to Japenese drummers no matter how desperate I become - thats my gardening music :rotfl: All my dailies are done, except the evening meal - the meat is out on the side defrosting but thats as far as I've got. Speaking of food I'm hungry. Right, off to find Starlight Express and food :rotfl:
