finally sitting down after hours in the kitchen. I made a roast chicken dinner, then converted the remains of the chicken, plus some veg, plus a tin of campbells soup, plus the extra mash i did into a pie for tomorrows dinner, so that will just need reheating.

Then i chopped up 2 kgs of onions and have put them in the freezer so i have it pre-chopped now for god knows how long. I ordered extra because i read in the newspaper that there was going to be a bit of a shortage due to the hot spring, so i am being MSE. :T

I then started poaching some cod, and then did some veg (onion/leek/carrots and peas) and a cheese sauce, and there is so much food for the baby it will keep us going a good bit. Now the trays are full, so i will have to empty them out tomorrow, and then try to make some more purees with the extra veg i bought, all before going away tomorrow evening. :A

    Breathe out!!!!

Unfortunately to make room for all of this in the freezer i had to eat a cornetto, and take out the vodka, which I have now felt the urge to have a couple of large ones. :D

DH is groaning at how many pans i have used, and i already did one lot of washing up. Oh well. I'm now going to sit and catch up here while he deals with it, and then bed time i think.

maralum no sign of you, so that looks promising, and hopefully you get what you want.

traceyg yet another thing we have in common. I notice you are shopping at Meadowhall. Perhaps we should organise to meet up some point when we are a bit less busy. Sam was the other name we picked out for Charlie, and was the name DH preferred but with my traumatic labour he let me pick. ;)

Big hugs all round to the rest of you,

Thanks for all the congrats & well dones etc today. They've put a smile on my face :D Okay eBay listings are finally up :D I currently have 112 items listed  OH has 35 and now I'm praying that they don't all sell this time around as the post office will bar me :rotfl: At least I'm supporting local business ;)

Anyways I thought it might be an idea to update my original list from this morning so I know where I'm working tomorrow:
    • Dailies
      • [strike]Beds[/strike]
      • [strike]Bathroom S&S[/strike]
      • [strike]Dishes[/strike]
      • [strike]Kitchen S&S[/strike]
      • [strike]WM[/strike]
      • [strike]Uniforms for tomorrow[/strike]
      • [strike]Evening Meal[/strike]
    • Ironing - Not urgent, so not a problem if it doesn't get done.
    • Ebay listings - just need to go through and edit them all so they have proper descriptions & postage costs!
Well that should keep me busy tomorrow. I've just asked OH to either take DD out on Saturday or that we all need to chip in to clean through (we have carpet beetles so I need to hoover at least once a week upstairs - I thought they had gone but the warm weather has brought them out again  ), so my plan tomorrow is to tackle the ebay listings (adding descriptions etc shouldn't take long) and finalise a shopping list which I'm about to put on Asda on-line before I head for bed. It needs to be under £17.50 :confused:

Right, shopping list and then bed. Night Nightxxx

Hoping no posting from Maralum this evening is no news means good news, fingers crossed! :o Must admit as soon as I got home I logged in to see if there was any news

Agree that no maralum must mean news of some sort, as i can't imagine at this stage she is out gallavanting. Wish it was me again. It's lovely meeting for the 1st time.

I've just been working out my friday fix-up list. There are a lot of things on there (49) but they are all things i would like to do before leaving for our weekend away, and mostly essential. If i can achieve it all i will have doen everything this week bar the window cleaning, and as we have a window cleaner for the outside once a fortnight anyway then they aren't that bad. I'm not going to post it now as i will be put off, but will wait till i've been up a bit and got some of it crossed off. (I don't think this is bad going really. :T )

Oh, to be a woman. :D

then i will be having a weekend of fun, before making sure everything is in place for a month of graft with my marking.

Feeling quite tired now, so i think it may be about time to log off and go to bed, so i will be fresh to fly with the wind. :p

Nighty night. Sleep tight. Watch the carpet beetles don't bite. (gone all itchy now - urghhhh)

We were given a bag of bags and summer hats as hand-me-downs from a friend of MIL  Most of the bags were told old for DD so they've gone on, I've listed some DVDS (CSI box sets ;) ) and then there's all that general "Why did I buy that?" stuff from around the house, including Christmas stuff  Oh and we all had a sort through of books, DVDs and clothes (and toys in DD's case) a while ago and they've been sitting there waiting to be listed :o I'm determined to have this house as clutter free as a home can be by the summer so it's a case of an hour cleaning through (30 minutes for dailies) and I can spend the rest of the time out having fun for a change! :D

Must do shopping list and stop reading forums :o

Phew just got back, well ok got back 40 mins ago! Been catching up on you lot :p

Still no news on maralum I see, will check back in the morning as I eat brekkie :D

Won't be able to stay long as w**k again and all being well our friends arrive tomorrow night so will be a quick checking then as well.

Had a great time last night Dusty, although I did have moist eyes when chat turned to men and their annoying hapbits and quirks. Then felt terrible coz everyone else felt terrible and insensitive. Got myself in a fair old tizz, I wasn't offended just sad that DH isn't around to leave crumbs all over the kitchen side after his sneaky (not lol) late night sarnies! But it was a lovely meal and I honestly did have a good time :)

Better skidaddle to bed or it will be ime to get up before I have even gone to sleep!

    night all xxx
