Surely insurance would only be valid for a future pregnancy not a current one? And how would betting against it at william hill help?!0

Even so, it's very easy to obtain drugs that significantly increase your chances of having multiples. Can't understand how anyone would offer this sort of policy.14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -
Apparently it can be taken out up to 11 weeks pregnant provided there has been no scan.
See this article for details:

Google multiple births policy for companies who offer it and quotes.0 -
I have already done that and everything I found on google does not seem to exist anymore0

I suspect you won't get very good odds - wherever you go. 20 years ago I investigated it as had twins & triplets in my family and they wanted something like £50 to give me £250 payout - (we didn't take it up..and yes - I did have fraternal twins!!).
As for managing, like someone else said - you can manage on your own if you have to! you've got a 7yr old & 2 five year olds, plenty old enough to be able to help amuse a couple of babies when necessary.
Through my health visitor I was put into contact with the local colleges and had student 'mother's helps' for 3 or 4 days a week (at no charge) Student nursery nurses wanted families either with triplets or another pre-school child.
Good luck whatever - but I would also be holding onto the fact that 2 out of 3 of your pregnancies have been singletons!Leylie0 -
er - my pregnancy hardly showed at four months even tho it was twins - sadly one didnt survive.
I was HUGE at six months with DS1 and thought it was twins again - it wasnt!
again at four months with DS2 I was tiny - turned out to be discrepancy with dates - I was only three months!
I didnt realise there were loads of twins in the family until I researched the family history.
we knew that there were twins on my OHs side - he had twin nephews.
since, my sister has had non-identical twin girls and my son has had identical twin girls - and in the family history they are ALWAYS twin girls! on my side not OHs!
You may find a bookie who take odds. and insurers USED to do insurance against multiple births, but, they dont seem to do this now.0 -
even if it is twins or triplets you can opt to have reduction if required but if you didnt want any more babies you maybe should have prevented it (dont mean that to sound harsh - apologies if it does)
whats the worst thing with multiples, it's not impossible with three - its just a lot of hard work
my dh is from a family of 12 my granpa 10 my gran 5 my mother 4 my dad 3, so you kind of just get on with it
yes there can be a lot of costs but then again you dont need to buy everything brand new espescially since you already have children
your biggest outlay at beginning is pram/travel system, people by gifts of clothing etc, you can ask family members for bottles, blackets etc, and then cots.
yes it will be tiring
what are your main concerns about the multiples? and what do you suspect the insurance policy to do? surely it wouldnt do much
plus i doubt they would take on a policy if you suspect multiple
most companies wont take things on if there is a risk:A VK :A0 -

If you already think it might be a multiple pregnancy, it is probably too late for insurance. No insurer would take you on when there is an indication that it is multiples. You already think you might want to claim so would be a high risk. Even if you did find an insurer, you would probably find the premium is close to the payout you want.
It is possible (although not 100% certain) to identify multiples by ultrasound even by 8 weeks. A private scan won't cost too much if you want to know and stop the worry. By the time of your booking scan, that should be 100%.0
