  • hi there, newbie here, hope this may be some help to guys wanting to unlock SE K800 in bournemouth area.CPW suggested a company called purple life ltd located in quadrant centre in bmouth. rang him yesterday - he seemed really helpful and said cost was £15 + half an hour of my time or £30 and handset away for 10 days (loan of another handset) depending on how old the handset is. Also there are a couple of guys in the boscombe market that unlock dont know how much though. Mine is locked to 3 and CPW advised that there is a lot of software on these sets with 3. Not a techie but others seem to confirm this and as i cant afford to keep with a contract now this seems a good option, due for upgrade from 12th, but 3's coverage is poor so will be able to use sim card only deals or payg for a while.
Thanx to this brilliant site in every which way :o

the security on the handset has an effect on the price. if its a cid52 (latest security) handset you will be looking at £20+ to get it unlocked

People seemed to have missed this, it was posted on pg 111 by tonki_boat56, and it does work

ok well I have unlocked it myself wohooo

this is the instuction to unlock any samsung e900

    1. Turn off your phone, put in a SIM of a provider that it is
locked to, and turn it back on.

    2. At the invaild sim card screen, type *#9998*3323#.

    i.e ( star/hash/9998/star/3323/hash )

A message will pop up telling you to press exit, Press exit.
    Choose malloc fail.
Your phone will reboot and your SIM will work.

    3. Type *0141# and then hit call.
This will give you a message saying your phone is personalized.

    4. Power down your phone and insert a SIM card other than the one that is in it.

    Power back up your phone.

    5. At the SIM code prompt type 00000000, (that is 8 zeroes.)
Your phone should now be unlocked
