Free codes for Unlocking Phones OTHER than Nokia's

I have a MDA Compact ( IMEI 354819003309783) locked to T-mobile, can it be unlocked for free or do i need to pop into a shop?

I have been trying to unlock my phone and have just about given up as I am not at all sure what I am doing ,even tho have been reading alot on this forum !

it is locked to vodaphone

phone is panosonic EBGD87

is it impossible ?

you can get a code from somewhere like vodacodes for about £15 or you can get a cable and do it yourself with free s/w (depending on s/w version)
