    Im trying to unlock my Sony Ericson v600i mobile phone its currently locked to the vodaphone network however the contract is nearing compltion and I would like to use a different network card in it, is it possible to unlock this phone manually or do I need to take it to the shop to get it unlocked?

    you can get it unlocked at a shop, but wait until the phone is over a year old, then i think vodafone will give the code to you for free, after you request it

    No free unlock, you can either take it to a shop or you can purchase a code as it's on Vodafone. A shop/market will charge about £5-£10 and the remote code will be £12. James-73 does the codes if you want to do it that way.
