I could easily travel for a year with 4grand!!!!! Wowsers.
Personally, I would rather go somewhere costing 2 grand a week for a 10 day/fortnights holiday though... Would give you a bit more range with distance/jet lag etc...
Vegas does sound like a good option if you want busy city rather than just beaches! Lots of fun to be had I'm sure!0 -

I'm looking to take my OH on a holiday abroad for his 25th around May time. We have both only ever been ouside the UK to Spain and Florida.
I'm happy to go anywhere. Looking to go for about a week. Budget is about £3k, £4 at a push.
If someone gave you £4k to spend on a weeks holiday, where would you go?
Florence, staying in a very expensive hotel, eating wondrous food, and hiring a car and driver for a couple of days to tour around in luxury!.....................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0 -
tbh I have no idea I just want somehwhere new we havn't been before, somewhere hot/warm preferably.
Beach settings are great but we usually do that on our holidays so I'm thinking maybe city with a lively nightlife atmosphere.
How do we know where you have already been?

That time of year I'd head to Dominican, Mexico or Carribean.0

I'd wait until you can get two weeks off and go to Hawaii or Australia. 3-4k seems a waste on just one week0

Another vote for Las Vegas. You could stay at one of the top hotels, see some shows, relax by the pools. There's lots to see and do
You could also go for a trip to the Grand Canyon, which I would really recommend.0 -
Morroco - We went for 15 days. Hired a car and drove round the country.
Total cost was £3k for everything
USA - East coast to West coast road trip. Went for 16 days. Total cost was £4k for everything.
The world really is your oyster with that budget.0 -
without any doubt I would go to Canada, went there in 1989 with my then husband and our kids, Its a beautiful country and so vast so plenty of choice.
Its some where I would have gone to live when I was younger,
and the people love the Brits !!Treat other's how you like to be treated.
