Are all CC parking charges orignated from this central office? Is this why Uxbridge is mentioned on CC statements not the actual car park location ??0 -
APCOA run parking at a lot of stations - I wonder if your car's reg is registered due to one of those?
Still don't see how they can legally take payment without any sort of notification or charge.... maybe hidden in the Ts&Cs of the other parking operation?0 -
They cannot POSSIBLY just debit an unexpected £125 lawfully. This is astonishing if that is what they are doing. Keep us informed, it makes no sense, is against the BPA code of practice for fake PCNs (such as the Code is!) and if there are t&cs hidden somewhere when people use off-street car parks, saying that further debits my be taken, then it's clearly an unfair contract term.
Unlawful - possibly even illegal?

Hi, I am new in this forum but really hope someone can help me.
One's again it's regarding Parking Charge Notice sent by APCOA Parking to pay £40 for the alleged contravention of Dropping off/ Picking up outside parking area at Luton Airport and letter from Roxburghe Debt Collectors asking to pay £131.
First charge notice from APCOA we received on 01/01/13 to pay £40 fine (if paid within 14 days). My hubby just dropped me off where is the roundabout at airport. It took max 10sec. I panicked and paid online £40.I thought that was the end. But surprise surprise we received the exact the same letter to pay another £40 just a week after I paid the first one. Further more, few days later I received the 3rd letter but this time from Roxburghe Debt Collectors asking to pay late fee of £131. The interesting part is that this fine apparently was issued 1 month (in November 2012) before the second I've got in January (dropped off took place in December 2012) the one I paid online
I contacted Roxburghe same evening as I was so stressed about it. The lady just told me that now they know my details were correctI said to her that it doesn't make any sense for me to pay one fee and ignore the one sent before.she asked me to pay £40 and that the rest will be withdraw as they will contact APCOA to make sure whether or not they have a proof that that Notice Charge (for November) was sent.
So these are my biggest mistakes that I paid them, and now I still have one more left to payand I am all stressed out as I don't know where I can ignore this one after paying the others or because I brought it on myself, now I must pay???
Is there any chance I could get the money back as one of the payments was made by credit card? Should I just go into the bank and say there is some fraudulent activities I noticed on my statement or what?
Please or please, help me if I still can be helpedthe last day to pay is tomorrow (to be within 14 days).going crazy  and feeling stupid and angry with myself and them for tricking me into paying them hard earned family money
and not finding this forum before
:(:(
Thanks0 -

Look roxburghe are part of the parking scam that is infesting car parks, Luton airport and other places, this company was until recently banned completely from data access to the dvla for gross misconduct! APCOA has been convicted of criminal offences in the past.
These companies and others are using intimidation and misinformation to swindle money off people, just ignore them completely, they have already taken money off you for an illegal penalty ! Did you know they don't have any legal right to offer parking ? Didn't you know only the landowner can claim for losses because of your parking, how the hell would they lose £130 in 8 seconds ?
IGNORE !When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

For Gods sake dont pay them any more of your money. These people are scammers. As they have your card details, cancel that card now before they start helping themselves, as they appear to have done to the OP of this thread.0 -
I just am throwing this possible solution in for discussion as I am no lawyerI panicked and paid online £40.I thought that was the end.
As with almost any UK debit / credit card a charge back system is in the contract between Visa, Mastro, American Express and the card issuers.

As payment has been made although the legality of the orignal demand and payment subsequently is in doubt should a charge back be pursued / attempted?0
