I don't want to risk selling it & then it's locked to Vodafone. It will cause me so much more hassle if someone opens it & tries there Sim card in it & it does not work. Will need to get it sent back at my cost & then I have a opened iPhone

  • Not all ebayers are mean gits. If you explain to the bidders that there was an error in the post and its possibly locked to Vodafone and it was a genuine error they may cancel and not neg you. Or maybe they are a Vodafone customers and are OK with it.

Why don't you just put the Vodafone SIM in then sell it as locked to Vodafone? Less people will bid but you'll still sell it, I've just sold a locked 2 year old Wildfire for over £50 and had 20 bids in the end.

I would of done this to begin with if I wasn't given false information from here.

I asked how I could find out if the phone I had won was locked or not, then people told me the phone was not locked so I listed it as un locked

If I was told it was locked to Vodafone I would of listed it as locked to Vodafone!

Now I will have cross people & two lots of paypal fees to pay if I try & sell it as locked to vodafone

OK I have tried to stop the auction but it will not let me as it is a auction

I can't edit it, I feel sick to my stomach

What can I do apart from let it go on & message each person bidding?

    HELP

DO NOT feel 'sick to the stomach'. This is only eBay. If it sells and it turns out is not unlocked then you need to contact the buyer and tell them it is not unlocked.

What's the worst that can happen? they leave you negative feedback? Who cares really?

There is this strange thing whereby people think it is the law of the land that you have to sell the item to the first buyer. It is entirely down to you. You may get negative feedback but it is really irrelevant.

Certainly don't worry about it :)

    Thank You,

It's so hard not to worry as I'm so soft hearted & hate upsetting anyone. I would not ever scam anyone so I guess that's why I'm taking it badly.

I've wished it was the end of the auction since I found out this morning it's been a long day lol

Yes but really don't worry about it. You're the seller so you're in charge. The hardcore ebay'ers on here will say 'you must sell to the buyer even if it means losing money' whereby in reality this is garbage. If you don't want to sell to the buyer then don't.

You would be much better off selling high value things like this on Amazon as you won't get all this rubbish from scammers etc.
