And if you can stomach it, do that I suggest above and if nothing has happened, come back here again.

I am not well versed in civil action in UK courts (I am not English but was a contracts writer - so know how to find any loophole if such exists!) but there are plenty of posters on here will will know what you need to do.

Not actually sure how he paid, all i know from him is that he has contacted the seller, and failed to get money back through eBay due to 45 days elapsing.

Well, he *may be able to get the card provider/bank to invoke a chargeback. He may not. Some are worse than others.

But it is a slim chance with little or no hassle. So try that first.

Then perhaps do as I suggested above.

Don't get me wrong in my advice, I am not condoning any seller reselling fakes, but you need to have evidence and follow procedures - your opinion will not count for jack. If you want help, this is a good board to get it.

Look, i don't know what your angle is here, but they are fake, and i can tell this simply by comparing it to the previous seasons, all of which i have, all of which are dual layer disks, have region encoding, RCE and Copy protection, and images of the cast on the disks.

I could take a picture with a Vaseline covered camera and they would know they were copies.

    This was pedantic.

It is Not, Sony and no other would just take word of this, even when TS and customs raid conterfeit sellers they always sent an item to the trademark/copyright holder to confirm they are fake, until they get a report back they dont do anything with the seller as they have no prove that the goods are fake.

Railbuff, I think the OP gets the message. He needs proof. Let's just assume for the moment he has it and look at ways of how he can get his (brother's) money back.

Well that's not true. All it means is it isn't free and easy.

Paypal and Ebay are not the end of the line, just the start.

I have tried before when i had an issue and because you are using paypal to pay the seller then its not a direct purchase through your bank/card. Paypal is the payment provider and not your bank/card

    Well, that is you.

Perhaps read what I said. It is possible with some card providers. I have done it myself and the thread (if you want to retrieve it) was on here.

I got nearly £800 back for a shed, via HSBC. Despite paying part balance and the rest Paypal (via my HSBC card).

Just because something happens to you doesn't make it fact for everyone or for me, which is why it is SOME and not ALL transactions.
