Which credit agency are you getting your report with Rosa I did all ours online and just downloaded copies for mortgage broker.
I'm sure you're prob aware of this but if any bonus payments are to be taken into account for your mortgage amount the broker will likely need a copy of that payslip and any correspondence relating to that bonus (such a a 'well done here's your bonus' letter from work)
do take a break, getting all the paperwork sorted is draining. I got fed up with it all not being able to be filed back away whilst the process was going through. It will all be worth it though xx
Thanks Kerri
It's Experian and I can probably forward it, but the options for the report were either to access online which I went for and still means waiting 3-4 days for the passcode, or to get the full thing by post which was 7 days. I hadn't ordered it before as I thought they'd only tell me to get an up to date one! Still, the agent now knows that things are underway and that the hold up was due to waiting on her recommended solicitor so I don't think I'm being too slow.
I won't even try and explain my employer's bonus system because it's just not a good use of any of our lifespan, suffice to say that even though I technically receive an increment for being good it's unlikely to make the difference between yes and no on the mortgage. It might be just enough to cover the insurance payments! And it goes on my standard payslip so is represented already.
I'm working on Christmas shopping now instead which is a good changeespecially as people have asked what I want for the new house in the new year which is lovely :T

Ohhh, love a bit of Xmas shopping Rosa - I've done most of mine already (rubs halo) simply because we have quite a few people to buy for. There's a few things I've got earmarked now too but I'm trying to hold off til black friday to see if there are any deals...of course if they go out of stock I will then kick myself.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Hi Rosa. Hope you are enjoying your relaxing time and trying not to think about your mortgage too much, it's just so exciting though.
I've started a Christmas list but that's as far as I got lol.

Sunday shuffle...
All looking ok. I saw the mortgage advisor yesterday with all the paperwork I had and she was going to try and sort out an approval in principle asap, in order to secure the rate. I still need to send her my full credit report as soon as I can get hold of it. I've agreed the local solicitors can act for me and now have a letter summarising the sale :j so I've set up a file for all this stuff. For info for anybody planning on doing this in future, this week's addition to the learning curve is that organised filing really pays off in this situation - it was great to be able to just fling two files in my bag and know that I had everything in there and filed in date order for all my accounts and bills and pension. I'm going to be careful to keep my files on track.
Not much other news going on. My groceries budget is doing well, as it seems trying not to stock up is actually working better for me - I use closer to what I need. It's easier to do this now that I'm not flat out running around to college etc. I am looking around the flat for what needs to be done before I move but a lot of it is actually OK, the only thing that really needs sorting is some extra paperwork which is mostly dentist reminders etc and can probably be shredded. Looking forward to getting to know a new house and settling into it and making it a happy place to be.
Now that the house buying thing has hopefully calmed down for a while I also need to sort out times to do my additional contract work and keep up with my training. I'm finding I resent doing it on weekends, so will try and find a couple of evenings in the week when it can be done together with cups of hot chocolate and become fun again.
I also caught up on sleep and house blessing this weekend, which is good in that I feel better in myself but wasn't very sociable - must arrange something with friends for next weekend.

Hi Rosa, keeping my fingers crossed here that everything goes smoothly and you are moved in soon. There are quite a few of us planning on moving in the next couple of months, it will make interesting reading. Are you going to have an office in a spare room that I can be very jealous of lol. I've already marked a little corner in mums living room for a desk. Luckily she has a big living room lol.

All being well I will have a study in the smallest bedroom and a guest room for friends :j:o. It's bonkers how much difference it makes moving away from the really expensive area because I wouldn't even get a one bed around here for the same price and I would much rather have the extra space.
I'm really looking forward to having space both for visitors and for studying - it will be great to be able to have all my books together and once I have a sofa and spare bed sorted, I will move the futon into the study so that I can curl up on it there
I'm already researching beds for the spare room and am glad I kept all the bedding and towels etc from my last house - hoping to make it a lovely place for people to stay.

It's all sounding so exciting Rosa. Isn't it perfect being so organised that you have everything right at your fingertips exactly when you need it.
I have my meeting with the mortgage lady again tomorrow as I was part time when I saw her last. I thought I'd feel resentful about applying for a mortgage again but I guess when it's the right place it all just feels ok.
Don't get a bed from a swedish company, or if you do don't get the cheapest one!I bought their cheapest, just to make the bedroom look like a bedroom and not a deserted drug den, and it keeps collapsing on me! Now I'm aware that's because I've not put it together properly, but even so! It's not particularly user friendly.;)

:rotfl::rotfl: MT for some reason that just gave me a vision of the dancing cartoon girls all tangled in a folded bed with their little legs still kicking under a sheet!
I'm hoping to find either some decent priced storage beds, or some presentable underbed drawers. There's no fitted storage in the bedrooms, so the more use I can make of otherwise unutilised space the better.
Good luck with your mortgage lady
