My friend got some good beds for their spare rooms from www.getlaidbeds.co.uk - the got space saver ones so the bed steads didn't take up unnecessary room.

Well I have to go look at that website just because of the name :rotfl:

    Thanks Kerri :A

  • Mortgage decision in principle agreed :T and full application now submitted by broker, despite the lack of full credit report. Solicitor forms filled in and returned, and first money transferred over to them to begin their work.

I found I was absolutely shattered and feeling down on Monday - too many late nights staying up to do research and make phone calls, all fitted around full time job, extra contract and training course essay. Fortunately a lovely RL friend did point it out to me and I promptly booked tomorrow off. I've also asked for an extension on the essay and it's been agreed which is a huge relief. Even a week will mean I can run another draft past the tutor and it means I don't have to give up a Christmas meal with friends the first weekend in December.

I went to bed at 7pm on the Tuesday and slept pretty much til 8am. I woke up feeling so much better. So I'm trying to get back to reasonable sleeping times. It's odd how much of a luxury sleep can feel - when I'm running around madly the idea of just stopping and snuggling down in the quiet seems amazing!

I decided to keep my day off tomorrow even though I now don't need to spend all of it working on the essay, so I might pop out to a couple of local furniture places for a bit of inspiration. I caught up on home blessing last night, so tonight I will just do a tiny bit of extra contract work and go to bed on time :)

Only other :money:news is that I have bought 2 Christmas presents, and don't need any treatment after my dental check-up - really pleased with that as I thought it was going to mean a filling!

Hope your week is going well lovely people

  • Also, I'd like to seek opinions on an important question.

Is it just me, or are the portions in the Wa1tro5e Easy C00k meals really stingy?

I can eat the whole thing in a meal and it's not like I am usually described as having a huge appetite!

  • Ha, ha. I've sometimes picked these up in the past if they have been reduced and I think they are stingy but then I DO have a big appetite :)

I've never bought one but all those kind of meals seem to be tiny for what they all - all packaging and no substance :(

Well done on asking for what you needed

I am often very bad at doing that :o so it's a good lesson to remember that sometimes there is an easy solution if I just stop being hard on myself.

I'm glad it's not just me then :rotfl:

I picked them up on a 3 for £10 offer as I knew I wouldn't have much time this week, and I was thinking 'serves 2' would mean I'd get two meals out of them. Hasn't happened - the meat portions are so small I'd be embarrassed to serve somebody half of what's in there!
