I didn't do it in memory of anyone particular but I took the attitude that you never know when you (or some close to you) might benefit from the research or the aids that the particular charity help supply.

Couldn't have worked with her because I got the impression that she would be telling me that being overweight was bad for me or eating white bread was the next best thing to self abuse

I'd have to agree with the OP, if I were to employ people (which I never would, too much hassle). Nasty toxic stuff that should be banned.

A colleague at work is hyper allergic and is particularly affected by airborne sprays (attacks usually end up with them in ITU for 24 hours upwards). However, work has put in place procedures to limit spraying to certain areas and check that any contractors advise if they will be using sprays.

They would not dream of banning perfumes just to "possibly" prevent an attack.
