I'm in my jamas and won't be doing an awful lot tonight.
Stay warm folks. Stay safe in the snow all those affected tonight/ tomorrow. I was kind of hoping of a snow day here but we seem to be missing it now.

    Brrrr, it's cold !

Fortunately, I've got bread and milk in the freezer, so I won't have to struggle to the shops if the snow is bad.

Unfortunately I have to work tomorrow. My husband works quite close to me, so he drops me off, so at least I won't have to drive myself.

We seem to be on the boarderline of the amber and yellow area on the weather map, so it MIGHT not be so bad, or it could be very bad ! It looks like the snow is due from late morning onwards, so coming home from work could be interesting!

JackieO will know what I mean when I say that I have to come up Bluebell Hill on my way home...... that can be very bad in the snow!

Hope everyone says safe, and I hope to be home this time tomorrow to hear all the snow stories!

    Be careful all

We apparently have a 30% chance for snow, DS has already gritted/salted the paths and driveway just in case. My tongue is burning after a sweet chilli chicken and veg stir fry, left too many seeds in I fear!
Not a lot OS to report, took DS shopping for a new jacket today. did manage to get one half price in the sale, but got conned into a new hoody and polo shirts too so that wiped out the saving and more!
DS and I are thinking of a weeks break to Menorca in May, it was Iain's favourite place on earth, we had many happy holidays there, so will be a bit emotional for us visiting favourite places and people but I think it will be good for us, may even think about splitting his ashes and scattering part of him there!
Right, jammy time for me, hugs and congratulations where appropriate, and stay safe if the snow comes!
    RIP Iain

Evening everyone, quick one just to say thanks so much for the healing vibes for my puppy, she is so much improved in the last two days, she is up walking around, although still very unsteady, and is eating and she is so perky, I would almost say back to herself, but not quite, if that makes any sense. Confining her to a cage at night is hard, she is also peeing there which is making for alot of washing etc, and she is a little bit pongy to say the least, but I can put up with that for the time being. OH is afraid I am reading more into this and could be let down big time, but I do see a spark of the old Ivy back. Will know more tomorrow when I speak to the vet. For now, I hope everyone will stay warm, and stay at home, if you can, avoid going out in the snow. Hugs and high fives for anyone who feels like one, for the poorlies, peed off's and the other sick furries I will keep you all in my prayers, I am off now to read the thread.

Very strange to find another MSE member, especially one who lives in the old style section too.

I was babysitting last night and realised my sister makes up bottles and puts them in insulated bags.
