I've got 2 teenage boys. Last year one of them didn't get anyone anything for christmas but quite happily accepted presents from other people.............then in JULY:eek: suddenly shouted out "sh*t, I didn't give anyone any christmas presents!!" and he really was shocked:rotfl:
He's never managed to live that one down and probably never will. (he got presents for everyone in plenty of time this year!).0 -

:rotfl: That one was so funny it had me rolling round on the floor.:rotfl: And HOW TRUE!!! Oh well it must be the male brain! Men are from Mars Women are from Venus and teenagers are from the planet Zog 50 trillion light years from Earth!0 -

It is the kind of thing my son would say,and is the reason I found it so funny.

Aww, and after a text too
Either it's a teenage thing he'll grow out of, or he's just one of those people who doesn't think presents and cards are all that important... except on their own birthdays of course
As the Eldest I feel like I spend my life chasing the younger sister and brother to sort out birthdays... For Mother's Day I texted the sister 3 times the week before, and she still sent the stuff out late  And these two are 21 and 17!0 -
He's a boy - remember he has one too:D
Return the favour on that day!An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:

I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.0 -
My stepson is the same, no xmas pressies for anyone, a belated b/day for his mum a week late. His sister spent a lot of money on him but nothing in return.
This year for his b/day all he will be getting is a card from everyone no pressies.if i had known then what i know now0 -
Happy Belated Birthday!!
I think this is just a male thing (sorry to the men out there). I have to remind my brother and OH about birthdays. In fact, I think my OH married me just so he'd have someone to sort birthdays and Christmas out!!
It works both ways though: my in-laws forgot my hubby's 30th. He called a couple of days beforehand and mentioned he'd speak to them on his birthday and it was obvious they had forgotten. He got a postcard as that was what was lying around the house to send him!! Another year he got a child's birthday card ...... I think we just have to accept that they aren't big on birthdays!!MFW 2019#24 £9474.89/£11000 MFW 2018#24 £23025.41/£15000

My Dad regularly forgot his own birthday and never ever remembered anyone elses without lots of reminders - my brother has folloewd suit. My OH remembers family birthdays on the day or whenever it's too late to send cards but he knows not to leave plans for mine too late
Don't take it personally. How many times have you seen boys buy their mates birthday or Christmas cards? It's just not important to them so why should it be to anyone else...0 -
My DD sorts out the presents and cards and just gets DS to hand over the cash I think LOL Happy belated birthday anyway.0
