In what way??!! Because we are both newbies??! The only forums I have posted on before have been for breastfeeding!! I'm in all new territory now!0 -

I don't understand....what is suspicious? I am a little naive.....what could I hope to gain exactly?0

I apologise...it looks a bit dodgy when 2 newbies come on and "promote" a company at the same time. I'm sure it was in good will, but unfortunately this does happen, and it can be the companies themselves making up profiles.First Time Buyer: Mortgage Offered, Searches complete, Exchanged 21/12/2012, Completion 04/01/2013! :beer:0

PROMOTE!!! My God I spent most of yesterday crying....if they didn't have me over a barrel so to speak I would never use an online estate agent again!
I feel like a fool to be honest.0 -

Do people actually do this? Do they have time? I am a mother of two very small beings and have little time for anything, all I want is some moral support and/or advice and to know that others are having similar issues as this has never happened before - a bit cynical isn't it?!
But I do not feel that online estate agents are a bad thing - these days all a property needs is to get on Rightmove. A high street agent quoted over £2000 fee for our property which is only valued at around £95000 so if we paid the full fee and all conveyancing etc we could not afford to move. Househop are (I hope) an exception and I truly hope that the other online agent we will move to will not disappoint (won't say name as don't want to inadvertantly promote!!)
PS the sticker saying new to forums says "be nice"!!:)0 -

what makes you think a bricks and mortar agent is any better? business rates and rent make them more likely to go bust! When using the housing forum please use the sticky threads for valuable information.0 -

Some would disagree with that view.... from another thread; We switched agencies three months ago and the new agency has sent at least six people to view the property so it's more than just bunging a few pictures up on right-move.0 -
Jools John has contacted me today to advise that my details have been sent over to you know where and they will be in touch tomorrow apparently.0

I had the same email. I have sought legal advice and contacted my credit card company to try and get some of it back. Although the normal claim is 60 days I had tp fax a letter with all correspondence to explain. You can also list yourself as a creditor as every company has assets.
We have just lost a months wage due to their fly by night company... Tears don't cone close!! Good luck everyone0
