  • @ Totton and JohnRo, many thanks for your replies!!

I've had a look at the Blackrock Consensus funds - they are not as diversified and one of the funds was only £3million - pretty small.

I know this isnt stictly a Vanguard question but its is related.

Im trying to set up the regular investment of TD investments site but when you go in to the page to add the investment fund it only lists stocks, therefore the vanguard and aberdeen funds im wanting to top up are not there.

Do I have to ring them to set the reg investment up?

On the regular investment page, when I click "add" and type "vanguard" in the box, the lifestrategys are listed.

That said, my account has an ongoing issue where it errors if I try to add them, so I'm having to ring up for them to manually trade until they resolve...:(

I had this problem a while ago and thought they'd fixed their system after I started pestering them to death about it... sounds like they only fixed some accounts after all. It's a shame because the TD regular investing account is one of the better (even if not the cheapest) around, a versatile and useful facility when it works.

I got this letter which implies they knew what the error was and have fixed it.

    Very interesting. Thanks.

Could I just ask whether you are able to amend the regular investment, or add another vanguard LS fund without the error now, or have they just set up the amount you wanted on your behalf?

I haven't messed about with the accounts since, so can't say all the problems I was having at the time have stopped. However at the time of being told they were fixed I was then able to go into the accounts and set up and change the fund entries and regular amounts myself. Prior to that I had the problem you have where I had to phone and get them to do it and even when they had I couldn't see it on the web portal which was just unacceptable so I started complaining quite frequently. Once I'd pestered them and been told it was fixed I was able to set up two different lifestrategy funds in two regular accounts without a hitch.

I have my own reasons for wanting two separate accounts but both seem to "work" now.

** btw: I started complaining about this issue in early january so looking at the letter gives you some idea of how (un)quickly TD resolve issues.
