  • Anyone know can you get them at that price in Sallys stores or is the price just online?

Thanks OP. I have seen some Tresemme ones in Wilkinsons down to £10. Does anyone know what they are like?

I can't see any for £10 on the website so I'm not sure which you mean but I have the 230 degrees ceramic Tresemme ones and they're brilliant. I also have some Babyliss Pro 230 ones which are also great. I've had GHDs in the past and have found the Tresemme & Babyliss ones to be really good alternatives.

I'm tempted by these Genie ones but am a bit dubious about trying anything less than 230 degrees as my hair is very unruly! :)

Wow, thanks for the link. I've just ordered some in the pink. I came on here as my GHDs have just broken and cannot afford to replace them. These look great.

Proud to be dealing with my debts
  • Hi I have the tresemme ones and they are brilliant. My daughter who has always used ghds ordered the genies they arrived today and she said they are better than the ghds she used. So has ordered a spare pair.
  • Ooh I'm very tempted with these! For those of you that have them, do they run smoothly through your hair? I've had GHD's and they're brilliant, yet some cheaper ones I've had in the past seem to snag bits of my hair if you know what I mean.

    Thanks OP :)
  • Will these work abroad USA does anyone know
    Thanks:beer:

This is exactly what I wanted to hear, thank you.

I have very unruly hair and can't live without my wide plate ghds but they are about 9 years old now and I needed a replacement. Ordered two pairs!

I have had a pair of Tresemme straighteners for about 5 years now and they are really good, in fact I still use them as spares and the heat mat they came with is still going strong. I'd recommend. A bit heavier than GHD's but other than that I couldn't fault them.

  • I bought the Genie wide plate straightener and it's pretty amazing. Glides through hair effortlessly and can be used to create curled as well as straight styles.

Bought at £9.99, wide plate blackish grey colour straightener. It was delivered the next day too so that was a nice bonus.

If they are still in stock I would recommend purchasing these.
