  • Hi, Just to let you know these arrived today in a lovely box, (perfect if you wanted to give them as a gift) and work perfectly. The plates are slightly narrower and they take slightly longer to heat up but other than that I can honestly say there is very little difference to the Kiss GHD's I normally use. The Genie straighteners are lighter so will definitely be coming on holiday with me (travel being the whole point of me buying a spare set). Thanks again OP, an absolute bargain.
  • I use GHD's but gonna take a gamble & give them a try, but if you type in Genie in the search bar on the site instead of following the link hey are £8.32 instead off £9.99. .... Bit random but saves a bit!!!

Thanks OP, mine are giving up now and I can't justify the cost of GHDs etc!

    Hi,

Just adding my bit in. I got the Remington Pearl in Asda for £22 and they are better than GHD; heat up in seconds to 235 degrees and have a 5 year guarantee.
Money is only of any use if you can spend it!
  • i am really tempted! do they curl just as good?

Thanks OP. I have seen some Tresemme ones in Wilkinsons down to £10. Does anyone know what they are like?
  • Mine arrived yesterday and have been tested by my daughter on herself and my mum and they are brilliant. Thanks again OP.
  • I have just purchased the thick genie straightners. I will let you know if they are any good. I have ghd thin ones but they are getting a bit old now.
