Hello - Unfortunately this practise continues I have experienced this very thing - Im afraid I did not see reviews beforehand. I paid for 2 x courses in December due for practical training In January - courses cancelled a week prior and just moved forward to the next month - still not received training, emails now not being responded to. When I spoke with another representative yesterday she confirmed no courses had run at my preferred location!!!!! But I am still being refused a refund - I am really at a loss how to proceed with this now ?? Any advise would be gratefully received. Thanks in advance.

As you know, next step beauty they like to keep their addresses constantly changing..

Small claims court- gov.uk/make-money-claim. Forum rules prevent me posting the full link.
Also report to consumer Advice who will pass the info onto trading standards. They are using other companies registration numbers on companies house website. The latest registration number they are using is for a children’s primary school. The certificates you receive mean nothing in the UK and are not accredited qualifications. the awarding body printed on the certificate is in Cambodia! You cannot gain insurance with the certificate so therefore you cannot work on paying clients.

Hi sorry for late reply. I checked the registration number 10057459 on the website ukrlp.co.uk which is called the uk register for learning providers. The registration number returned a primary school in Warrington for the address. Or maybe that website is just for schools I’m not sure? I’ve been talking to a officer at my trading standards today on the phone who as assured me the Norwich trading standards are onto them and that they have been investigated several times but that next step beauty had assured those at trading standards they were going to deliver better standards. I told him it’s not good enough and that this company have been trading like this for years. He’s told me the trading standards in Norwich are dealing with them again and have asked him to request the details in relation to my problem and all the evidence I have saved in emails. I have just forwarded this information onto them tonight along with all the emails I received. I also had a email back from the hotel venue where the practical course was meant to take place but was cancelled 3 times and they told me they haven’t had any confirmed bookings or contact from next step beauty since 2017. Despite this they have had monthly courses running and advertised as taking place at this hotel. The hotel also under went refurbishment last year and changed names but next step are still using old hotel name as the venue.
There’s some complaints about this company on twitter too. I’ve sent all the details to trading standards. I will keep you updated of any news I receive.
