Hi IDT,
Just checking how things are going with you - hopefully if they are meeting today you'll hear something very soon, along with an apology! xGone ... or have I?0 -
Hi again all,
Okay just a bit of an update. I have received a call this morning asking me to go into a second investigation meeting. It is now exactly 3 weeks since I was suspended.
They are keen to point out it is only an investigation meeting. The meeting will be tomorrow afternoon. I will keep you informed as to the outcome.
Thanks again for all the support.0 -
I have not read the whole thread and this probably offers nothing new to you but...
Don't forget the freedom of in formation act. You are entitled to see what they have compiled against you.
If what they say is true, I believe they would have to produce recordings of these calls. I am an analyst in a contact centre and there are frequently technical problems that can cut people off, so ensure you raise that as a question in your defence.0 -
What the dickens has the Freedom of Information Act got to do with this??!!
Nothing IMHO.0 -
Actually, I think it's the Data Protection Act. It's one of the two because you are entitled to see what they include in an investigative report against you, whether or not it leads to disciplinary action.
I know because I've been there and was told my rights by UNISON. I had the case against me dropped I may add.
PS Dropping the unfriendly tone might irritate people a little less.0 -
welshman is on the right track - Data Protection Act if it is a private organisation, Freedom of Information if public.
Best of luck IDT, have you got someone to take with you? If not, you have the right to request that the meeting be delayed.

Wrong.
Data Protection covers individuals in public and private organisations.
FoI only covers other information held by public bodies.:A MSE's turbo-charged CurlyWurlyGirly:AThinks Naughty Things Too Much Clique Member No 3, 4 & 5

I think you're probably thinking of The Employment Act. This states that an employer must inform the employee in writing of the intention to hold a disciplinary and their reasons for it. An employer will usually have to write a statement of the issue at hand and send the employee a copy.
It isn't actually a legal requirement to produce any 'evidence' in advance, but having said that they would be stupid not to as they will only have to produce it at the meeting anyway and it will just delay things further if you have to take time to read through it all before you comment. (Which you should do, thoroughly!)
Let's stick to trying to help out the OP with her problem rather than bickering between each other!0
